The spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 258 have already been revealed, even though the official release date is set for April 29, 2024. In the previous chapter, it was shown that Yuji stopped holding back and used his newly awakened cursed technique in an attempt to defeat Sukuna.
The spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 258 began with Yuji facing off against the King of Curses as he unleashed his domain expansion. In order to counter it, Yuji tapped into his newfound cursed technique, the Simple Domain, in order to protect himself from Sukuna’s powerful attack.
Similar to his Shrine cursed technique, this particular technique could prove to be rather ineffective as Sukuna’s domain expansion had already wounded the protagonist. As a result, the protagonist was forced to unlock a new cursed technique but at the cost of angering the King of Curses.

Jujutsu Kaisen — Itadori Yuji and Sukuna’s Domains Clash: Simple Domain vs Domain Expansion
As per the spoilers, the chapter began with a flashback to the battle between Gojo and the strongest, where Gojo successfully activated his reverse cursed technique by striking the King of Curses with two Black Flashes while in an awakened state. The chapter then shifted back to the present, where Sukuna was attempting to heal from the injuries inflicted by Yuji’s Black Flash abilities.
Despite his inability to effectively use his reverse cursed technique, he resorted to activating his domain expansion, Malevolent Shrine. This triggered a flashback from before the strongest battle, when Choso inquired about how everyone replenished their blood using RCT. Shoko explained that she converted her cursed energy directly into blood.
Both Hakari and Yuta were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation, as this technique came naturally to them. Choso echoed Shoko’s sentiment, stating that the same applied to him as well. The death painting revealed to Yuji that by consuming his remaining brothers (the other death paintings), he would also gain the ability to mimic Choso’s cursed technique, as well as the techniques of each death painting.
As part of Yuji’s training, Choso specifically requested that he be paired with someone who was proficient in RCT. This led to Yuji being partnered with Kusakabe, and they utilized Ui Ui’s cursed technique to switch souls. Under Kusakabe’s guidance, Yuji learned the fundamentals of cursed energy manipulation and basic domain techniques, which may have been why Yuta accused them of cheating when Sukuna inquired about their training.
The chapter spoilers resumed at the ongoing battle where Sukuna had unleashed his unfinished domain. However, Maki remained unaffected by his domain due to her lack of cursed energy. To protect himself from being attacked, Yuji used a Simple Domain in response.
The Simple Domain is a cursed technique specifically designed to counter domain expansions. Typically, this technique requires a Bidding Vow to be performed, with the exception of Kusakabe who has mastered it and does not need to make such a vow. In chapter 258, spoilers suggest that Itadori may also possess a similar ability to Kusakabe, as there is no mention of him needing to make a Bidding Vow.
Despite erecting a Simple Domain to counter it, Yuji was unfortunately slashed by Sukuna’s cursed technique, confirming Choso’s worries about his well-being. Choso had been concerned about Yuji’s safety, and unfortunately, his concerns were proven to be valid.
Despite losing one of his legs to Sukuna’s cursed technique, Yuji’s domain expansion eventually wore off. However, this moment of relief was short-lived as the King of Curses immediately activated his flame-cursed technique, Fuga. The sorcerers from Jujutsu High were filled with despair, thinking they had gained an advantage against Sukuna.
Despite awakening the Simple Domain, a new cursed technique, Yuji did not reap its full benefits. In addition to losing one leg, the timing of his awakening proved fruitless as Sukuna’s flames surfaced during his domain expansion. As a result, the Jujutsu High sorcerers were once again at the mercy of the King of Curses.
The release date and time for chapter 258 of Jujutsu Kaisen is the same as before.
