Jujutsu Kaisen: Sukuna as the Strongest Sorcerer in History Turns the Most Simple Cursed Technique into the Strongest

Ryomen Sukuna is considered to be the most powerful sorcerer in the history of Jujutsu Kaisen, and may even hold the title of strongest in the current timeline of the series. This is due to his defeat of Gojo during their fierce battle of the strongest.

Upon switching from Yuji to Megumi as hosts, the King of Curses acquired unimaginable powers, and for valid reasons. As the most experienced and knowledgeable sorcerer in Jujutsu, the Disgraced One had the ability to make even the most basic techniques appear overwhelmingly powerful.

Despite its simplicity compared to complex techniques like Gojo’s Limitless and Yuki Tsukumo’s Star Rage, the King of Curses utilized his Shrine cursed technique with such skill that even the Honored One, known as the strongest in history, could not defeat him.

Ryomen Sukuna is a major protagonist in Jujutsu Kaisen. He was first introduced in the debut episode, where he and the main character, Itadori, joined forces by becoming a vessel and parasite, sealing their destinies together.

The current King of Curses, featured in the series, is a reincarnation of a powerful sorcerer who once lived during the Heian Era. His reputation as the most formidable sorcerer of his time has endured throughout the ages, earning him the title of the King of Curses and solidifying his status as the most powerful sorcerer in history.

However, upon his rebirth in the present time, he encountered Satoru Gojo, the current member of the Gojo clan. On their first encounter, they engaged in a fierce fight during the Shinjuku Showdown arc, resulting in Gojo’s demise. While Megumi’s cursed technique played a vital part in the battle, it was Sukuna’s cursed technique that truly stole the spotlight.

In chapter 257 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Itadori’s cursed technique, known as Shrine, was finally unveiled. This technique allows the King of Curses to launch slash attacks and is relatively simple compared to the techniques of special-grade sorcerers like Gojo and Yuta.

Despite being one of the most confusing and overpowering cursed techniques, Gojo’s Limitless is highly coveted. In contrast, although Yuta’s cursed technique grants him the ability to mimic others’ abilities, there is more to it than meets the eye.

The Shrine is separated into three abilities: Dismantle, Cleave, and Divine Flames. Dismantle allows him to slice through non-living objects, while Cleave allows him to cut through living beings. The third ability, Divine Flames, harnesses powerful flames akin to those of the underworld. The Disgraced One is a master at utilizing the Shrine, and he often incorporates his cursed technique to develop unique and unpredictable attacks.

During the ultimate showdown between the strongest warriors, the King of Curses utilized Mahoraga’s adaptability and Dismantle to create a powerful slash known as the ‘slashes that cut the world.’ In a similar fashion, he could also use Cleave to impale the ground with the force of a Spider Web in a single strike.

Lastly, despite not being the primary cursed technique of the King of Curses, Jogo’s flame-cursed technique was still no match for his Divine Flames.

Despite both possessing the cursed technique of ‘cutting,’ the King of Curses was able to establish himself as the most powerful sorcerer in the series. Itadori, on the other hand, while also possessing the same technique, is not able to use it as effectively as the King of Curses.

The King of Curses has exhibited not only mastery of his own cursed technique, but also a deep understanding of sorcery by effectively utilizing Megumi’s Ten Shadow Technique.

In addition to successfully summoning all Ten Shadows through Megumi’s cursed technique, Sukuna also demonstrated his mastery of sorcery in Jujutsu Kaisen by combining Nue, Great Serpent, Round Deer, and Tiger Funeral to create a new powerful beast. This showcased his deep understanding and expertise in the field of sorcery.
