Jujutsu Kaisen: Sukuna’s Victory in the Ideological Battle Against the Jujutsu Tech, Proven by Chapter 261 Spoilers

Fans eagerly await the release of Jujutsu Kaiseni chapter 261 on May 27, 2024. However, early spoilers for the chapter have already revealed the unexpected return of the Honored One, leading to speculation about Sukuna’s fate.

As previously mentioned, the return of Gojo Satoru has come to pass, facing off against the King of Curses. However, it is actually Yuta Okkotsu who has taken control of the strongest sorcerer’s body through Kenjaku’s cursed technique. The King of Curses was greatly impressed by this feat and praised Yuta Okkotsu for it.

Although it is rare for the King of Curses to praise someone, his actions show that the sorcerers have exhausted all other options and are now resorting to immoral methods in order to defeat him. This ultimately proves that the Disgraced One has already emerged victorious in the battle of ideologies, as his use of immoral tactics aligns with his role as the antagonist, rather than the sorcerers.

Please note: The following article includes possible spoilers from chapter 261 of Jujutsu Kaisen and reflects the author’s personal opinions.

The events of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 261 picked up from the previous chapter, with Gojo Satoru revealed as the figure standing before the King of Curses. However, the King of Curses surprised everyone by unexpectedly praising Yuta Okkotsu. The story then took a turn to a flashback during the Perfect Preparation arc.

The ongoing topic of discussion among the sorcerers revolved around whether Rika should absorb Kenjaku’s technique, in order to assist Yuta in taking over Gojo’s body after his passing. While many sorcerers opposed this notion, Yuta persisted in his argument that they should not always rely on Gojo.

Yuta approached Gojo and requested his consent to temporarily possess the body of the Honored One for approximately 5 minutes. In the subsequent chapter, Yuta utilized Sukuna’s cursed technique to slash the Honored One, forcing him to switch with Gojo. The chapter then resumes the epic battle between Gojo and the King of Curses as they both activate their respective domain expansions.

The protagonist should not take pride in Sukuna’s praise for Yuta, as the King of Curses did not anticipate the sorcerers’ tactics to stoop as low as using Gojo’s deceased body in combat.

This was the final option for the sorcerers, as the King of Curses had weakened enough for them to gain the advantage. However, Maki had concerns about their chosen tactic, as it went against their moral code. She was worried about Yuta transferring himself into the body of Gojo Satoru, as it seemed unethical to use the body of someone they all held in high regard.

The King of Curses has consistently employed these tactics since the start of the series, initially possessing Yuji’s body before eventually transferring to Megumi’s. This aligns with his identity as the Disgraced One. The conflict with the King of Curses was not only a test of strength and mental fortitude, but also a clash of beliefs.

Although Yuta had obtained Gojo Satoru’s permission before transferring, reusing this tactic showed that the sorcerers were no different from the antagonists. This is why the King of Curses was surprised by Yuta’s descent to this level.
