Jujutsu Kaisen: The publisher revives the hope of the return of Satoru Gojo in the manga

Jujutsu Kaisen fans are now more convinced than ever that Gojo will return – and it’s all thanks to a recent interview with the manga’s publisher. We will explain everything to you.

Satoru Gojo, the great favorite of Jujutsu Kaisen fans, has always been one of the most popular anime characters. And the excitement around the exorcist has only grown with Season 2 of the anime..

Unfortunately, as powerful as he is, the Possessor of the Sixth Eye has often found himself helpless in the face of an insurmountable adversary: the author of the manga himself, Gege Akutami, who decided to show him some all the colours. After being sealed in the Edge of Torment in the Shibuya Drama arc, Gojo disappeared from the radar for long chapters. And when he finally returned to face Sukuna, his confidence was not enough to survive the blows of Makora and the King of Scourges.

His death was difficult to accept by readers. Since then, the smallest detail published by the magazine or the author on social networks has been dissected and analyzed in every possible way, fueling countless theories about the return of Yuji’s mentor. And to the delight of our Internet detectives, the recent interview with editor Junya Fukuda seriously foreshadowed the reappearance of Gojo.

Jujutsu Kaisen Editor’s Latest Interview Convinced Fans of Gojo’s Return

In a recent interview, translated into English and available on Twitter/X, journalists visited the premises where the manga is edited. They met Junya Fukuda, in charge of Jujutsu Kaisen, just as he was checking the sketches for the next chapter 249.

“Last click from Junya Fukuda, editor of Jujutsu Kaisen manga / Junya-san states that Gege has already decided the end of JJK.”

If the computer screen is blurred in the video, the silhouette that can be discerned there immediately evoked something for the most avid fans of the manga. It was enough for the image to be diverted and reworked, with the aim of guessing what the blurred contours could represent. And very quickly, it was the face of Satoru Gojo and his sunglasses that emerged.

“We cross fingers.”

“Zooming in to check for stitches on Gojo’s forehead.”

“It’s been months already lol, we can’t wait years like when he was sealed. This will surely happen (if it happens) in the next chapters in my opinion. / I doubt Gojo will come back so soon, but it’s possible it’s him.”

After seeing the screen, the interviewer couldn’t help but comment on his surprise at the drawing: “I’ve never seen this scene before,” before add: “It’s an extraordinary scene. But I really can’t look away from it.” The fact that even the editor approved by calling the scene shocking is in itself an announcement for a new twist worthy of the manga.

After all, Jujutsu Kaisen is currently in a crucial phase of its history. And even if many readers strongly hope for Gojo’s return, nothing confirms it to date. Especially since his reappearance would not mean the resolution of the other intrigues: Megumi remains prisoner of a body controlled by Sukuna, and Yuji must still prove that he deserves the role of protagonist by confronting the king of plagues.

Finally, even if it turns out that the image is indeed a representation of Satoru Gojo, it could also be a simple flashback. So all that remains is to wait to read the next chapters, to find out what awaits the readers of Jujutsu Kaisen.
