Jujutsu Kaisen: Uraume’s Gojo parallel in chapter 259 may have spelled doom for Sukuna

The release date for chapter 259 of Jujutsu Kaisen is scheduled for May 13, 2024. However, the spoilers for this chapter revealed that Itadori’s “brothers”would return and depart. Additionally, the dialogue of one of the King of Curses’ subordinates hinted at his possible demise, which many fans overlooked.

As the sorcerers were close to defeating the Disgraced One, he unleashed his domain expansion to demonstrate to the protagonist that victory would not come easily. However, the leaked spoilers for the latest chapter suggest that Sukuna’s fate may have been foreshadowed in a specific manner.

Following the activation of his flames, the King of Curses presented a panel where Uraume declared his subordinate’s victory to Hakari. However, Uraume’s panel bore a striking resemblance to Gojo Satoru’s declaration of victory against the King of Curses before their final battle, in which Gojo ultimately perished.

This article includes the author’s opinion and may contain potential spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series.

Based on the spoilers, the chapter began with a flashback of Itadori’s training in Blood Manipulation with Kamo and Choso. While Choso wanted to jump ahead to the advanced techniques, Kamo advised Itadori to focus on mastering Blood Manipulation for the purpose of healing his injuries.

Returning to the battle, Sukuna had already disabled his domain expansion and ignited his Divine Flames. He aimed the flames at the protagonist, who was caught off guard but was protected by a blood cage. This blood was from Choso, who had given his life for his brother. They shared a brief conversation and said their goodbyes.

Sukuna approached the protagonist who appeared uncertain about their next move and seemed to be considering giving up. However, Todou suddenly appeared, reuniting the tag-team once again since the Shibuya arc. Furthermore, Todou was confident that he could still utilize Boggie Woggie. As the battle entered its final stage, the question remained: would the ultimate tag-team be able to defeat the weakened Sukuna?

Following Sukuna’s activation of his flames, the chapter briefly turned to the confrontation between Uraume and Hakari. In one panel, Uraume confidently declared victory for his side, while Hakari’s response was lackluster.

Strangely, the panel in which Uraume announced their victory shared a similar art style to a notorious panel in Jujutsu Kaisen. In chapter 221, following Gojo Satoru’s escape from the Prism Realm, Sukuna challenged the most powerful sorcerer and emerged victorious.

Despite his confidence and glory, Gojo Satoru ultimately failed to defeat Sukuna and declared his victory. This was proven true in chapter 236 when the King of Curses sliced him in half, marking his defeat.

Uraume’s depiction in the panel follows a similar art style, potentially foreshadowing the potential for Sukuna’s defeat, as was the case for Gojo. With the introduction of the ultimate tag team, Sukuna’s downfall may be approaching.
