Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 249 has been described as “shocking” , and we already know that Yuta will oppose Sukuna. But its release was postponed: we explain why.
Jujutsu Kaisen is plunged into the middle of a battle, and each chapter ends with unbearable suspense. Chapter 248 was no exception, cutting short the fans’ hype as Yuta re-entered no man’s land to face Sukuna. We then discovered Rika, queen of plagues, provoking with her usual insolence the king of plagues himself.
But this last part ended there, without showing more. And if readers are moping around while waiting for the sequel, which was also described as “shocking” during an interview with the publisher of Gege Akutami’s manga, the torment will increase even more. Why is the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 249 delayed?
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 249 will be released on February 4. It will not be included in the 9th issue of Shonen Jump, which will be released on January 28. The break is not due to the magazine’s calendar: it therefore arises from that of the author.
Breaks in the schedule of mangakas from big franchises like Jujutsu Kaisen or One Piece are frequent. Ideally, they allow the author to rest, but are generally used to devote time to adaptation projects or to do research that will inform the story or the drawings.
According to the latest interview with Jujutsu Kaisen editor Junya Fukuda, the next chapter will be extremely surprising. Obviously, faced with such information, fans are only more impatient to discover what happens next. Because if the manga does not change point of view, we will witness the fight between Yuta, Rika and Sukuna.
Yuta’s Territory Expansion also remains a mystery among fans: chapter 249 could be his only chance to unfold its full potential. The expansion was indeed mentioned during the Murderous Hunt arc, but we do not know it in the smallest details. Not to mention the changes made to Rika.
We must also count on Yuji, always present on the battlefield, and whose skills and steely mind irritated Sukuna to the point of convincing him to complete Kenjaku’s plan. The fact that he managed to master the Reversal Spell in such a short time may also mean that the young exorcist still has some surprises up his sleeve.
