In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 265, Yuji’s Domain was introduced, but its specific workings and purpose are still unknown. The only information disclosed about it is that it can transport Yuji and his adversary to his past memories and that it enables Yuji to use ‘soul dismantle’ as a powerful technique to free Megumi from Sukuna’s grasp.
The landscape that Yuji and Sukuna found themselves in revealed important information, including the protagonist’s emotional state. The setting transformed from one that reflected Yuji’s determination to break free to one fueled by his growing rage. It is possible that Yuji’s domain expansion is a manifestation of his intense emotions, driving him to do what he desires most – freeing his friend.

Exploring the true meaning behind Yuji’s domain in Jujutsu Kaisen
The previous chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen concluded with Yuji performing a hand gesture to initiate his domain expansion. The subsequent chapter opened with the protagonist and Sukuna strolling through a station, where the King of Curses expressed his perplexity about Yuji’s domain. The protagonist concurred and admitted that he, too, was uncertain about his domain’s nature.
As the chapter continued, the two characters journeyed through locations that held significant meaning for the protagonist, suggesting that Yuji’s domain may be connected to his past. The chapter concluded with them sitting beside a damaged statue, as the protagonist demanded that the King of Curses vacate Megumi’s body in order for the protagonist to defeat the enemy in a single strike.
Despite Yuji’s pleas, Sukuna refused to stop and continued to battle within Yuji’s territory. The King of Curses skillfully avoided the domain’s ‘soul dismantle’ technique, which aimed to sever the connection between the antagonist and Megumi.
One intriguing aspect of their battle was its occurrence in various settings, mirroring the clash between Takaba and Kenjaku. Yet, similar to how Takaba’s cursed technique manipulated the environment with his humor, the protagonist’s domain may have also manifested different scenarios to reflect his emotional state.
The battle commenced in the hilly terrain where birds soared above. The presence of flying birds, reminiscent of those in Attack on Titan, symbolized freedom and reflected Yuji’s determination to liberate Megumi from Sukuna’s grasp.
As the scenery shifted to a snowy forest, Megumi began to resist the control from inside Yuji’s body. This brought a smile to Yuji’s face as he witnessed his friend’s determination to keep living. It also served as a reminder of the intense battle between Yuji and Mahito during the Shibuya arc of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Despite utterly defeating Mahito and sparing his life, the antagonist quickly fled, leading to a chase through a snowy forest where Mahito became the prey and Yuji the pursuer.
During the final part, Yuji’s confrontation with Sukuna mirrored his battle against Mahito. Like his fight with Mahito, Yuji declared that he and Sukuna were alike, echoing his words to Mahito.
Therefore, it is possible that Yuji’s domain expansion takes the form of his mental state. His determination to save Megumi proved to be effective as his domain aided in defeating Sukuna and breaking his friend free from the antagonist’s grasp.
