Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuji’s Domain Expansion against Sukuna finally revealed

Sukuna was left in a state of shock as the protagonist’s domain expansion revealed itself to be a train station.

By learning from both Gojo Satoru and Kusakabe, the protagonist was able to achieve this feat as they taught them about the concept and significance of this ultimate technique.

Meanwhile, Kusakabe instructed Yuji on the correct method for activating domain expansion, which ultimately enabled the protagonist to successfully utilize this powerful technique against the King of Curses.

The spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 264 continued from where the previous chapter ended, with the King of Curses evading Hana Kurusu’s Jacob’s Ladder and now preparing to make the final blow.

Luckily, Aoi Todo intervened and rescued her from certain death at the hands of Ryomen Sukuna.

While Sukuna was fixated on his two opponents, Itadori Yuji leaped into the air and seized him. He then slammed Sukuna into a nearby building and attempted to use his Shrine cursed technique to defeat the King of Curses.

Luckily, Ryomen Sukuna had recovered his reverse-cursed technique (RCT) and successfully regenerated both of his hands. However, he refrained from unleashing his full power all at once. He believed that Yuji’s Dismantle could only target the division between the physical body and soul, meaning that his body was no longer at risk.

Despite the King of Curses’ despair, Itadori Yuji confidently made the hand sign for his domain expansion. The chapter’s spoilers also revealed a brief flashback in which Gojo had instructed Yuji on the fundamental principle of domain expansion and Kusalabe had taught him the inner workings of the technique.

Despite the limited information provided in the chapter, Yuji’s domain expansion manifested as a train station with Sukuna standing in the center, causing surprise. This development has once again raised the possibility of defeating the ultimate enemy in Jujutsu Kaisen.

It is common knowledge among fans that Yuji possesses the same cursed technique as Ryomen Sukuna, indicating that their domain expansions may also share similarities. However, Yuji’s cursed technique is still in its early stages compared to the powerful King of Curses, suggesting that there may be some distinctions between their abilities.

Malevolent Shrine, the domain expansion of Sukuna, stands out in Jujutsu Kaisen due to its lack of a defined boundary, making it one of the most distinct domain expansions.

Therefore, Yuji’s expansion of his train station domain could potentially have a boundary that limits the effectiveness of his cursed technique to only within the train station.

Additional Thoughts

After defeating Okkotsu Yuta in a domain battle, Ryomen Sukuna was now ready to face off against Itadori Yuji’s domain expansion. However, given his current injured state, Sukuna’s domain expansion may be on par with Yuji’s or slightly weaker.

Nevertheless, it cannot be confirmed if Yuji’s Shrine is fully awakened, as in this chapter he has only demonstrated the abilities of cleave and dismantle.

Yuji has yet to awaken the Divine Flames, a crucial element of the Shrine, which could ultimately determine the outcome of the protagonist’s battle against the antagonist.
