Jujutsu Kaisen: Final Arc Confirmed

Gege Akutami has officially announced that the “Shinjuku Showdown Arc” will serve as the final arc in Jujutsu Kaisen.

The conclusion of the arc does not necessarily imply an immediate end to the manga. Fans can anticipate a few additional chapters serving as an epilogue to provide a satisfying resolution to the story.

When Will the Manga Come to an End?

The ongoing “Shinjuku Showdown Arc”in the manga continues to depict the relentless efforts of everyone to defeat Ryomen Sukuna. Despite significant developments since the arc’s inception, the future of the struggle remains uncertain. However, it is likely that the manga will wrap up by the end of this year or early 2025.

Despite the conclusion of the “Shibuya Incident Arc”in the anime, there remains approximately 130 chapters that have yet to be adapted. This is a similar number to what has already been animated, indicating that the series is likely to continue for another 4-5 years before reaching its conclusion.

What’s happening in Jujutsu Kaisen Now

The Shinjuku Showdown Arc commences with a fierce confrontation between Gojo and Sukuna. Their domains collide in a relentless battle, but despite Gojo’s efforts, Sukuna proves to be too powerful with his numerous abilities and the aid of Mahoraga. Tragically, in chapter 236, Gojo falls to Sukuna’s hands and meets his untimely end.

Despite the shock and grief of Gojo’s passing, there was no time for anyone to mourn. Kashimo and several others were already preparing to face Sukuna in battle. Meanwhile, Hakari used his powers to trap Uraume within his domain, preventing her from aiding Sukuna in the upcoming fight.

After Kashimo is defeated, Higuruma, Choso, and Itadori immediately join the fight. However, Sukuna proves to be too powerful for Higuruma, who falls victim to his domain and is ultimately killed.

Sukuna once again employs the Divine Flames he had previously used on Jogo, this time targeting Itadori and Choso. In a selfless act, Choso sacrifices himself to shield Itadori. As a result, Itadori is able to reunite with Todo on the battlefield.

After utilizing Todo’s enhanced Boogie Woogie technique, Itadori successfully executes 7 consecutive black flashes on Sukuna. Upon witnessing this, Sukuna, who was about to activate his domain, is taken aback upon seeing Gojo’s unexpected presence.

Later, it is disclosed that Yuuta replicated Kenjaku’s cursed technique in order to possess Gojo’s body and confront the weakened Sukuna once more.

The second part of chapter 262 reveals that Yuuta is facing a difficult situation as he struggles to use Gojo’s powerful techniques. Due to his inability to use multiple copied techniques simultaneously, Sukuna gains the advantage. With the assistance of Inumaki’s cursed technique, however, Yuuta is able to immobilize Sukuna and prepare for a counterattack.
