Jujutsu Kaisen’s Sukuna will ‘never compare’ to one iconic anime villain

Many fans believe that Jujutsu Kaisen’s Sukuna can never match the iconic status of Naruto’s Madara, who is considered one of the most memorable anime villains.

Despite being a significant moment in the manga, fans have found Sukuna’s defeat by the sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268 to be underwhelming. The Shinjuku Showdown Arc, which lasted for a year, finally comes to an end as the King of Curses’ reign of terror is finally put to a stop.

Despite taking the lives of powerful individuals such as Gojo, Kashimo, and Choso, some believe that Sukuna deserved a more dignified demise than the one dealt by Yuji. However, the unexpected return of Nobara and her involvement in the final battle has left a sour taste in the mouths of many, tarnishing Sukuna’s ultimate fate.

Currently, a comparison is being made to another famous anime antagonist who similarly had a disappointing conclusion. Naruto is renowned for its expertly crafted villains, but Madara Uchiha stands out as the ultimate menace.

Madara, a powerful Uchiha and believed to be a reincarnation of Indra Otsutsuki, was one of the founding members of Konoha and a mastermind behind the infamous Akatsuki organization (or so we believed for a period of time). His strength and abilities reached their pinnacle when he gained the power of the Ten-Tails as its jinchuriki.

Despite this, Madara’s strength becomes so immense that even the manga’s creator struggled to defeat him. As a result, when he eventually meets his demise, it is viewed as a highly disappointing moment and is considered one of the weakest points of the widely praised series.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, it is revealed that Black Zetsu was the true mastermind behind everything. He betrays Madara by stabbing him in the back, resulting in his death and the resurrection of Kaguya Otsutsuki. This repetitive act does not give the villain the credit they deserve.

While Sukuna and Madara are both considered the strongest villains and have received similar reactions to their deaths, many fans believe that Madara surpasses Sukuna. This is largely due to Madara being a more well-developed character with a detailed backstory and emotional connections.

“One user on X suggested that we show respect to Madara and acknowledge Sukuna’s abilities on par with other powerful individuals such as Zabuza (who is still a formidable opponent).”

“Another person tweeted, “They attempted to compare Sukuna to Madara, by the way.”Someone else also shared, “Although I do have a great appreciation for Sukuna, he has not yet surpassed Madara and is still far behind him. Madara’s abilities were truly exceptional.”

Someone stated, “It has been a sufficient amount of time. Madara’s passing is much superior to Sukuna’s end.”

Despite not meeting fans’ expectations in the end, Sukuna’s impact on the story and his position as one of the top new-generation anime villains is widely recognized and acknowledged by everyone.

As the conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen approaches, take a look at the significant deaths of characters in the series. Additionally, discover the uncanny resemblance between Sukuna, Muzan, and All For One.
