Jun Ji-hyun and Kang Dong-won’s Film Polaris Confirmed for 2025 Release on Disney+

On May 29th, Walt Disney Company Korea revealed that their original series ‘Polaris’ will be released in 2025. The highly anticipated show has already gained attention for its stellar cast and production team even before filming has begun.

The plot of “Polaris”follows a group of spies who have lost their sense of self and are on a quest to rediscover their identity.

The character “Moon Ju”portrayed by Jun Ji-hyun is a skilled diplomat and Ambassador to the United States who has gained the trust and respect of the international community through her wise decisions and actions. She uncovers a political conspiracy involving both North and South Korea in an assassination case. Likewise, Kang Dong-won takes on the role of “San Ho”, a top mercenary with a mysterious past and unknown nationality. The project is helmed by director Kim Hee-won, known for his skillful and impactful directing in dramas such as “The Crowned Clown”, “Little Women”, and “Vincenzo”. Additionally, co-director Heo Myung-haeng of “The Roundup: Punishment”brings their expertise to the project as well.
