She emphasized the importance of retaining the original charm of Moon Ok-gyeong while also incorporating her personal style. “I aimed to create a character that struck a balance between authenticity and charm without appearing overly artificial,” she explained.

Controversy Surrounding the Deleted Scene

A particularly intriguing aspect of the series was the deleted kiss scene between Moon Ok-gyeong and her love interest, Seo Hye-rang. This scene, highlighted in an uncut script, sparked considerable discussion online. Jung Eun-chae clarified that although the scene was filmed, it was ultimately omitted from the final airing. “We had filmed all scenes as written, including various versions, but I didn’t learn of the final edits until I watched the broadcast,” she noted. “After much deliberation, it seems the direction chosen for the final production was the most fitting,” she concluded.
