On October 18, OSEN reported that Jung Hae-in is presently contemplating a significant role in a Japanese drama following his recent work in the film “Veteran 2” (also referred to as “I, the Executioner”) and the K-drama “Love Next Door” . This project could mark a pivotal step in his career.
Previously, Jung collaborated with celebrated Japanese director Takashi Miike for the Disney+ series “Connect” , which premiered in 2022. The series garnered international acclaim, being officially selected for the “On Screen” segment of the 27th Busan International Film Festival. It’s noteworthy that “Connect” was a Korean-Japanese co-production, with planning and production orchestrated by the Korean company Studio Dragon.
Despite Jung Hae-in’s opportunities to engage with Japanese fans through various fan events, he has yet to star in a Japanese production. The J-drama he’s currently considering is reportedly being developed by local production teams, writers, and directors, indicating his rising prominence in Japan and his potential expansion into global markets.
