On August 24th and 25th, Jung So-min captivated viewers with her portrayal of Bae Seok-ryu in episodes 3 and 4 of the tvN drama “Love Next Door”. Bae Seok-ryu’s decision to break away from her 10-year career and live according to her own desires resonated with viewers as it reflected their own personal experiences.
Despite her determination to embrace unemployment and live a carefree life, Seok-ryu’s anxieties quickly resurface as she opens her laptop to create a daily schedule. Through her portrayal of Seok-ryu, she conveys the uneasy emotions of a person who struggles with doing nothing, evoking a strong sense of empathy from viewers.
As the series continues, Jung So-min’s character develops a charming dynamic with Jung Hae-in as they portray childhood friends. Despite their constant teasing, their bond brings a sense of joy to the show. In a memorable scene, Seok-ryu and Seung-hyo uncover a time capsule they buried a decade ago, leading to a playful argument as they read each other’s embarrassing notes from their youth. However, she comes face to face with her former colleague Chris, who had previously embarrassed her. Overcome with emotion, Seok-ryu unleashes a powerful punch on Chris.
