There is ongoing speculation among fans and industry insiders regarding Jungkook’s recent message—whether it was meant to support Min Hee-jin or serve as a veiled criticism of her.
On September 14th, Jungkook expressed his support for NewJeans on Instagram, sparking intense discussions in online communities about the underlying meaning of his post.
Some interpret Jungkook’s gesture as an endorsement of Min Hee-jin’s return, seeing it as him aligning with the vision of NewJeans.
Conversely, others highlight the use of the word “guilty” in his message, suggesting it may be directed towards Min Hee-jin, possibly accusing her of exploiting artists for personal purposes. With BTS and other artists under HYBE remaining silent on the ongoing tensions between the label and Min Hee-jin for over five months, it is believed that Jungkook could be addressing the larger issue at play, with NewJeans positioned at the heart of this conflict.
In response to a query from TenAsia about Jungkook’s intentions, HYBE mentioned, “We are confirming the artist’s true intention.”
Meanwhile, on September 14th, Jungkook also shared a message from his pet’s Instagram account stating “Artists are not guilty,” which many fans perceive as a clear indication of his support for NewJeans. He included heart emojis in the colors representing NewJeans’ members—blue (Minji), pink (Hanni), yellow (Danielle), green (Haerin), and purple (Hyein)—further signifying his advocacy for the group.
