Juniel’s Frustration Over Unreturned Fan Gifts After Two Years
On November 5, singer-songwriter Juniel took to her social media to express her discontent regarding the handling of fan gifts used as props in her music video for “Dear,”released two years prior. In her post, she recalled the event, stating, “Two years ago, after a long hiatus, I released a song called ‘Dear’. The company requested to utilize fan letters and gifts as props for the music video to celebrate my 10th debut anniversary. I willingly lent them the fan souvenirs displayed on my shelf at home.”
Despite her generous spirit, Juniel revealed that as of November 6, she has yet to receive any of the items back. She stated, “I was informed that the items were organized within the company, but frequent staff changes led each new team member to promise they’d ‘look into it’ yet never followed through.” Furthermore, Juniel mentioned, “When I asked again just yesterday, I was told that the company had moved, complicating the retrieval of my gifts.”
Expressing her regret, Juniel added, “I truly regret lending these items as props. Had I known the outcome would be this disappointing, I would have kept them safe at home. The song, ‘Dear,’ which narrates the bond between my fans and me, was especially meaningful during my 10th anniversary. Now, I feel overshadowed by disappointment.”
A spokesperson from K-Tigers addressed the situation in a statement to OSEN. They clarified that the items were indeed used in the music video, and subsequent miscommunication arose after a team leader responsible for the project left the organization. “After Juniel went home following a late shoot, the props were supposed to be organized in the office. However, the departure of the A&R team leader caused gaps in communication,” the representative explained.
The spokesperson further acknowledged that the gifts are currently at the company’s premises. “Due to an office move and subsequent restructuring, it became unclear where each item was stored. This lapse falls entirely on us. We have every intention of returning the items, and we acknowledge that we should have prioritized this sooner. The communication breakdown was regrettable.”
For context, Juniel made her official debut in 2012 with her first mini-album, My First June, and the past two years have been a significant journey for her as an artist.
