Juno Transforms Overwatch 2 Meta with Soaring Pick Rate

Juno is transforming the Overwatch 2 meta, with her pick and win rates soaring as she surpasses top heroes like Ana and Kiriko, becoming a dominant force in professional play.

When Juno was introduced during her limited-time test phase, players and streamers quickly acknowledged her as a well-balanced character with an impressive design.

Although some players were skeptical about her influence on the meta following a nerf with Season 12, a subsequent hotfix patch provided her with vital buffs, leading many critics to reassess their opinions.

As we reach mid-season, it is evident that Juno has firmly established herself as the meta-defining hero.

According to Overbuff, Juno boasts some of the highest pick and win rates in all ranks over the past month.

She only dropped below the number one pick rate in Bronze and Grandmaster tiers, where Ana overshadowed her. However, the small player pool in these ranks makes it challenging to draw conclusions.

In all other tiers from Silver to Master, Juno consistently ranks above Ana, showcasing a better win rate and average KDA. Specifically, in Platinum rank, which represents the average player, she holds an impressive 8.26% pick rate alongside a 52.71% win rate.

This positions Juno as the most selected hero in the game. While her win rate is currently the third highest—behind Torbjorn and Reinhardt—it’s important to note that Torbjorn has a significantly low pick rate of 1%, and Reinhardt’s pick rate is only 3.42%.

Juno’s meta-defining status is further emphasized through strategies dubbed ‘Junoats’ by OWCS casters, featuring combinations like Juno and Brigitte in rush compositions alongside Ramattra, Mei, and Ashe, which teams in the Korea OWCS Stage Two have effectively used.

Moreover, her versatility shines through as she fits seamlessly into poke, brawl, and even dive compositions, fulfilling roles as both main and flex support.

Despite her overwhelming success, the developers are currently satisfied with her placement in the meta and do not intend to implement changes in the near future.
