What is the meaning of “No T”(너T야) in the mouth of SEVENTEEN member HOSHI?

As one of the most popular boy groups in the K-POP world, SEVENTEEN’s every move can be said to have touched the hearts of all “Carat Girls”(fans named CARAT). Some time ago, HOSHI released a “Nuo T Ya”finger dance on weverse, which immediately aroused enthusiastic attention.

“Nuo T”means “Are you T?”In fact, it originated from the popular MBTI 16 personality test in recent years. “T”is one of them, which means “Thinking”, and its counterpart is “F”) (Feeling). The two represent the way of judging (how to make decisions). The former values logical, fair, and fair values, and has an objective understanding of issues, and is often considered cold, numb, and indifferent; the latter considers the impact of things on people, and values sympathy and harmony. To give a simple example, in a simple sentence “I will think about it again”, the T person expresses “I will really think about it carefully and from beginning to end”, while the F person means “there is a high probability of rejection, I will figure it out myself”.

The original ancestors of “Nuo T”are comedians Xu Meizhen and Han Zhiyuan. The two operated a YouTube program. In one episode, the girls were discussing a certain topic. During the discussion, the little sister who seemed to be from “T”pointed out her point of view, saying that no one died, and the little sister who seemed to be from “F”asked back at that time: “Oni, Nuo T.”

After that, “Nuo Tya”evolved into the meaning of “Why are you so ruthless”and “Why are you so indifferent”. So when you ask a friend something, and the other party doesn’t feel the same way with you, or his reaction doesn’t meet your expectations, you can say “No T!”!
