A netizen on theqoo platform recently uploaded behind-the-scenes footage of the drama “Lovely Runner”and highlighted a noteworthy detail about Byun Woo-seok’s emotional scene. Specifically, there was a moment where Ryu Seon-jae shed tears after a conversation with Sol’s grandmother.

The script did not specifically instruct Ryu Seon-jae to cry, however actor Byun Woo-seok was unable to control his tears due to the intense emotions of the scene. Despite this, the director ultimately decided to keep the emotional moment in the final cut.

A netizen shared a video of Byun Woo-seok’s appearance on “You Quiz on the Block”where he can be seen shedding tears. According to the netizen, Byun Woo-seok was moved to tears by Sol’s grandmother, as she reminded him of his own late grandmother. In the video, Byun Woo-seok fondly recalled memories he shared with his grandmother.
