K-Netz Furious After Late Sulli Was Mentioned to Hate on Yves: ‘It’s Really Disgusting’

In an online forum, someone made a ridiculous claim about the late Sulli, targeting former LOONA member Yves. What was the nature of this incident?

On August 25th, a user posted on Nate Pann claiming that Yves had copied the late Sulli. The article included a comparison between the two idols, examining their physical appearance, mannerisms, attitude, and other similarities.

The original poster stated:

“She looks more like Dasom than Sulli, but does she really want to look like Sulli instead?”

The writer kept on:

“I was surprised because when Yves did an Instagram live, Sulli’s unique way of speaking and facial expressions were exactly the same as when she did a live broadcast. It feels like she’s trying to copy Sulli’s philtrum pressed together when she speaks. (But) Sulli is so pretty.”

After being posted, it garnered approximately 230,000 views and triggered a heated debate among K-Netz.

It appears that the person who uploaded the video is part of a community that holds misogynistic views and is expressing hatred towards Yves. This is based on their accusation that Yves used feminist slang two years ago. The comments section contains other individuals who share this belief, as they have agreed with the uploader’s statement.

“I’ll tell you. She’s not on the internet either. When Yves laughs, she looks like Sulli. She sees Sulli in her face. She probably thinks to herself, ‘Hey, do I look like Sulli?’

She searches for Sulli on YouTube and watches Sulli’s videos and pictures, and she’s imitating Sulli more and more.

She copies the way she speaks, her expressions, her actions, and her hairstyle. It’s creepy. In reality, she’s like the Temu version of Sulli who’s dropped her on the street a few times.”

Upon witnessing this, K-Netz are enraged that Yves is being targeted using the late Sulli’s name, repeating the harmful actions that ultimately led to the former idol’s tragic passing due to relentless malicious comments.

Due to this, netters came to the defense of Yves and Sulli and left comments:

  • “But it’s disgusting to bring in the deceased just to criticize others.”
  • “I’m not sure if Yves is following her, but even if she did, what’s wrong with that? It’s not like styling is a patent or something that can’t be violated.
  • “When Sulli was alive, they pushed her to k*ll herself, but now that she’s gone, they’re praising her and using her to slander other celebrities.”
  • “Once they set their coordinates, they torment them until they d*e, and when something goes wrong, they ask, ‘Who did that?’ and reply, ‘I didn’t do that.’ They just disappear. It’s so disgusting.”

In 2017, Yves made her debut as a member of LOONA. As the group gained global recognition, their future was thrown into uncertainty when nine members filed for an injunction to put a halt to their contract with Blockberry Creative in November 2022.

In January 2023, she ultimately lost the case and decided to depart from the group to pursue a solo career. Her solo debut took place in May of the same year with the release of her EP, “Loop.”
