Despite their talented releases, TRI.BE, a K-pop girl group that debuted in 2021, has remained relatively unknown. Nevertheless, they continue to actively promote themselves as a group and recently made a comeback in February with their fourth single album, “Diamond.”Additionally, they are active on social media.
Despite their music not being the focus of attention, it was their leader, Songsun, who made headlines for allegedly aiding a fan in winning the lottery.
TRI.BE’s Songsun Allegedly Assists Fan in Winning Lottery
On April 14, 2024, multiple online forums within the community, including FM Korean, were buzzing with discussions after a screenshot of a conversation between Songsun and a fan was posted online.
The fan requested to Songsun, “I plan to purchase a lottery ticket; would you be able to select lottery numbers on my behalf?”and Songsun quickly agreed.
The numbers selected by Songsun were 36, 23, 7, 12, 32, 6, and 28.
Despite the fact that you only need to select six numbers in the lotto, the idol’s response left many amused as she provided seven. People jokingly speculated that maybe she had never filled out a lottery ticket before.
Despite the fact that the lottery draw held on April 13 resulted in the 1115th draw, people were surprised to find that all of the numbers guessed by Songsun were correct except for 34, which was the first prize-winning number. In fact, if you added the last two numbers that Songsun chose, 6 and 28, the sum would be 34.
It was discovered that Songsun accurately guessed five numbers, with the remaining two numbers yielding the sum of the missing one. This led to speculation that the idol purposely chose to give seven numbers for this precise reason.
The fan bought two lottery tickets with the same numbers. Later, she found out that she had won third place in the lottery, thanks to Songsun’s numbers. The amount of prize money she received was more than 2.9 million Korean won.
Despite narrowly missing out on winning the first prize of 2.7 billion won because they overlooked the two numbers in the back, the fan admitted to feeling a slight sense of regret. However, thanks to Songsun’s “Midas’ Touch,”the fan was still able to walk away with a substantial amount of money.
