“Escape of 7″has been controversial not long after its premiere.

Screenwriter Kim Soon-ok is not called the “godmother of bloody dramas”for nothing. Following “The Master of Bloody Dramas””The Penthouse”, he filmed a new work “The Escape of 7″with almost the original cast. There is no escape. Or are a group of villains “kidnapped”by desire and fame and fortune fighting with each other.

As early as September 28, 2016, South Korea began to implement the “Law for the Prohibition of Improper Solicitation and Acceptance of Property”(because the draft was proposed by Kim Young-ran, South Korea’s first female justice, in 2012, it was also called the “Kim Young-ran Law”). The bill is considered to be the most stringent anti-corruption regulations for public officials in the history of Korean legislation. It is roughly divided into three major parts: prohibiting improper solicitation, prohibiting the acceptance of property, and setting a cap on external lecture remuneration. Persons within the scope of the bill (civil servants, persons employed in public institutions, public and private school faculty, media practitioners, lawyers, and family members, etc.) shall not receive banquets, gifts, and wedding gifts in amounts exceeding 30,000 won, respectively. 50,000 won and 100,000 won. If it is related to official conduct, it is illegal regardless of the amount. At the same time, the bill also stipulates that regardless of whether it is related to official behavior, if you accept more than 1 million won in property or entertainment in a single time or more than 3 million won in a year, you will be subject to criminal penalties.

Seven years after the “Kim Young Ran Law”was implemented, in August 2023, the South Korean government raised the total limit on holiday gifts for public employees. According to the amendment, the upper limit for gifts of agricultural and sideline products will be raised from the original 100,000 won to 150,000 won. Since the total gift limit is doubled during the “holiday gift-giving period”from 24 days before to 5 days after the holiday, the limit for agricultural and sideline products gifts for public officials during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Spring Festival will be increased to 300,000 won.
