Kagurabachi chapter 28 is set to release in the upcoming issue #19 of Weekly Shonen Jump on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 12 am JST, as stated by Shueisha’s MangaPlus platform. However, due to time zone variations, international fans will have the opportunity to read the chapter on April 7.

The last chapter of Kagurabachi introduced a new character, Yuu Inazuma (Mr. Inazuma), who entered the Rakuzaichi building in an attempt to rescue his sister. Despite his efforts, he was captured by the guards stationed outside. Fortunately, Chihiro Rokuhira arrived just in time and used her Enchanted Blade, Kuregumo, to save the young boy.

Summary of Kagurabachi Chapter 27

Chapter 27, titled “Mr. Inazuma,”starts with Kyora Sazanami completing the necessary arrangements for the auction. He ponders over the fact that Chihiro Rokuhira has yet to take any action, despite the Enten being enlisted for five days now.

Additionally, a mysterious individual sporting a mustache and round glasses converses with Shiba in another location. He discloses that individuals from the criminal world congregate at the auction, but only a maximum of three are granted access to the subterranean auction hall.

The rest of the group remains outside to patrol the area, while the Sazanami members are in charge of securing the underground. The man proceeds to point out a leaflet showcasing Chihiro Rokuhira’s profile and the promised reward of 50 million yen for anyone who can deliver his body.

The mysterious man proceeds to disclose how the entire city turns a blind eye to the corruption during the Rakuzaichi auction, resulting in a city-wide slumber. As a result, the security outside the building has little to no work to do.

At that time, the chapter introduces Yuu Inazuma, a young boy who enters the Rakuzaichi building in search of his sister. It is revealed that his sister has been presented as “merchandise”at the auction.

Despite the guards apprehending him, he manages to pull out a pocket knife and thrust it into one of their hands. Surprisingly, Chihiro Rokuhira arrives at the building unscathed. Shiba realizes that Chihiro had already made his move, most likely in response to the chaos happening below.

Despite fooling the man with the round glasses, Shiba rushes to Chihiro’s aid. As this unfolds, Yuu Inazuma recalls his sister’s words about the Lightning only striking “bad”individuals, not innocent children.

Despite his teary eyes, he summons the bravery to defend himself. Just then, Chihiro Rokuhira emerges, swiftly slicing the guard’s hand and releasing Yuu. Abruptly, the chandelier plummets from above, resulting in a sudden power outage.

Despite the guards’ warnings, they reassure each other that there is no need to fear Chihiro as he does not possess an Enchanted Blade. The story then shifts to a flashback featuring Chihiro and Shiba.

The previous individual informed his mentor that he would handle the undesirable individuals because he had made the decision to take on the responsibility.

Kagurabachi chapter 27 brings us back to the present, where we see Chihiro pulling out Kuregumo from its sheath and chanting Mei as sparks of lightning crackle around him. The chapter concludes with the clock striking twelve and Kyora Sazanami starting the highly anticipated Rakuzaichi auction.

What to anticipate in Kagurabachi chapter 28

With the latest chapter leaving off on a captivating cliffhanger, it is highly probable that Kagurabachi chapter 28 will reveal how Chihiro successfully repaired his damaged Kuregumo (Cloud Gouger) blade, which had been broken in his intense battle against Genichi Sojo.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that the use of an Enchanted Blade is only possible upon the death of its original owner. As Chihiro was able to successfully wield Kuregumo’s powers, it can be inferred that Sojo has indeed passed away.
