In the 31st chapter of Kagurabachi, Chihiro questions the enigmatic man about why he hasn’t killed him. The sorcerer responds by stating that Chihiro is not yet ready to be sacrificed. Additionally, the Cloud Gouger, Chihiro’s only chance for survival, is nearly extinguished. Therefore, engaging in a fight would only worsen his situation.
