Kagurabachi Chapter 31 Recap

The newest chapter of Kagurabachi, titled “Greeting,”begins with the Hishaku member addressing Chihiro Rokuhira and commenting on his growth. In a fit of anger, Chihiro charges towards the Hishaku member, only to discover that he is actually the leader of the notorious organization.

As the fight begins, Chihiro quickly realizes that he is no match for his opponent. The leader of the Hishaku effortlessly corners him without resorting to sorcery. Meanwhile, the auction for the Shinuchi blades continues above.

Kyora Sazanami presents the goods and shares a story about the sword. As stated by Kyora, Japan fell into disarray eighteen years ago after being assaulted by an unidentified “enemy.”

Despite the unification of sorcerers from all over Japan to fight a shared enemy, their efforts were futile until Kunishige Rokuhira created the Enchanted Blades. These five blades turned the tides of the war in their favor, while the sixth one (Shinuchi) ultimately led to the country’s triumph.

Meanwhile, Chihiro Rokuhira questions the leader of the Hishaku, despite being held captive. He angrily demands to know why his father was murdered. The sorcerer confesses to his actions, stating that he sought to obtain the Shinuchi. He also declares his intention to engage in battle against Chihiro.

Chihiro remains puzzled, unable to comprehend how the auction of the Shinuchi fits into the Hishaku’s leader’s grand scheme, as he had previously explained.

Despite this, he remains steadfast in his determination to not allow anyone with impure hands to wield the Enchanted Blades. However, when the sorcerer provokes Chihiro, the distress begins to resurface.

Despite facing adversity, Chihiro remains determined and overcomes his limitations to strengthen his connection with the dying Cloud Gouger and unlock a new level of strength. The chapter concludes with Chihiro uttering the words, “Mei: Shred.”
