Kagurabachi Chapter 43 Recap

The chapter, titled Fulfill, opens with Chihiro realizing that he must use his Spirit Energy to touch each person inside the Storehouse in order for Hakuri to transfer them safely outside. However, Hakuri is aware that Kyora Sazanami’s unwavering dedication to the Rakuzaichi is causing a delay in the Storehouse’s collapse.

He understands that should the Shinuchi blade triumph over his father, the Storehouse will disappear, taking Chihiro and the others within it. As a result, he relies on the sorcerer’s determination. In another location, the Kamunabi sorcerers remind each other to flee if they wish to live.

At the same time, Kyora Sazanami reflects on the last moments of his deceased wife. She had expressed her belief that her husband and the rest of the Sazanami family had been manipulated by the “Sacred Tradition”Rakuzaichi, and that without the auction, Kyora wouldn’t have turned out to be a negative influence.

Kyora recalls his father assigning him the duty of overseeing the auction, and his unwavering determination enables him to stall the Shinuchi’s destructive effects. He appeals to the crowd to eliminate his adversaries in return for payment. The onlookers rush towards Hakuri, but Hiyuki shields him.

Meanwhile, with the combined efforts of Chihiro and Hakuri, every prisoner in the Storehouse was saved. As Kyora remembered his wife, he realized that he should have trusted Hakuri. However, their conflicting ideals had prevented him from doing so.

At the conclusion, Chihiro returns from the Storehouse (it is suggested that it was Kyora, not Hakuri, who transported him outside) and witnesses Kyora. As Shinuchi meets his tragic demise, flowers sprout from the sorcerer’s body.

What Can We Anticipate in the 44th Chapter of Kagurabachi? (Speculation)

It is expected that Kagurabachi chapter 44 will focus on the aftermath of Kyora Sazanami’s death, as he died while staying true to his beliefs. Interestingly, the previous chapter suggested that he may have come to realize his mistakes. This could explain his decision to revive Chihiro from the Storehouse, possibly wanting Hakuri to have a chance at a new life with his newfound family.

In addition to the aftermath, the upcoming Kagurabachi chapter 44 will most likely feature the return of the Hishaku’s boss to action. It is possible that he had foreseen the events and thus has already prepared his plans accordingly.

However, it will be intriguing to witness the actions of Hiyuki Kagari, especially since everyone except Shiba is fatigued. If she chooses to continue with her mission, she may potentially confront Chihiro. Nevertheless, recent chapters have hinted at a shift in Hiyuki’s mindset.

As a result, it is highly probable that she will allow Chihiro to proceed with the Enchanted Blade. Additionally, chapter 44 of Kagurabachi may provide further details on Hakuri’s state. In any event, the upcoming chapter will conclude the Rakuzaichi arc and introduce a new one.
