Recap of Kagurabachi Chapter 46

The opening of Chapter 46, entitled Unruly Punk, finds Chihiro Rokuhira and Hakuri arriving at the Kamunabi’s headquarters with Hiyuki and Tafuku. The leaders of the judging panel then proceed to question Chihiro about his relationship with Kunishige Rokuhira, seeking more information.

Before heading to the headquarters, Shiba informed Chihiro that Azami would be available to help if there were any problems. Shiba also mentioned that he would not be accompanying him due to his previous conflict with some members of the Kamunabi over Kunishige Rokuhira.

At the same time, a superior discloses that the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade has been temporarily confined. However, in order to fully seal it, they must continue to progress. That is why they are interested in learning about Chihiro’s strategy for recovering the stolen blades.

The Kamunabi seeks to witness Hakuri’s powers, as he is crucial to the plan. However, Hiyuki and Tafuku disclose that the young sorcerer had fainted while attempting to use his ability before his arrival, as he had only recently awakened it.

Meanwhile, the questioning of Chihiro persists. The Enten user argues that the Kamunabi should evaluate him based on his deeds rather than his personal background. He asserts that he has triumphed over Sojo, demolished Rakuzaichi, and recovered the Shinuchi- all of which have ultimately benefited the Kamunabi.

Despite Chihiro’s demeanor impressing some of the present members due to his resemblance to Kunishige, one of the higher-ups with sideburns believes the most appropriate course of action would be to eliminate Chihiro and instead give the Enten to one of their own members.

During that moment, an attendee arrives and delivers news that sorcerers with Spirit Energy similar to that of Enchanted Blades have breached Kokugoku Onsen, one of the Sanzos. The attendee also mentions that one of the members had a fire emblem, and it is later discovered that the Enchanted Blade bearer managed to escape from the situation.

Chihiro acknowledges that the Hishaku is responsible for the incident. He informs the Kamunabi higher-ups that he has no intention of surrendering the recovered Enchanted Blades.

As a result, the Kamunabi turns to him as their top choice if they need personnel urgently. In agreement with Chihiro, a seasoned sorcerer of the Kamunabi appoints him and Hakuri to the task of locating and safeguarding Uruha, the bearer of the Enchanted Blade.
