Kagurabachi Chapter 49 Recap

The chapter commences with Hirohiko confronting Chihiro Rokuhira, flanked by hired assassins. Chihiro does not recognize the sorcerer as one of those who murdered his father three years prior. He queries Hirohiko’s intentions, to which the sorcerer responds that he aims to eliminate Uruha and nullify the Eternal Contract.

Meanwhile, a group of assassins burst through the window to attack Uruha, but Hirohiko dispatches them effortlessly using his blade. Conversely, Chihiro envelops himself with Nishiki to stand against Hirohiko and his guards. The Hishaku sorcerer then showcases his origami-based sorcery, unleashing a flurry of Blood Cranes toward Chihiro.

The cranes pierce through multiple assassins and splatter blood on Chihiro’s face, impairing his vision. Seizing the moment, Hirohiko charges Chihiro with his blade, but the Enten user counters with an ingenious maneuver, employing Kuro like Shinuchi’s Centipede to create a shockwave.

Meanwhile, Yoji Uruha reassures Chihiro that he should not concern himself with him any longer, as he believes he may become a burden. Trusting in Hakuri and Uruha, Chihiro Rokuhira leapt from the train, bringing Hirohiko along with him. Although this decision is perilous, Chihiro perceives Hirohiko as the primary threat.

Chihiro is determined to shatter the current deadlock between Kamunabi and Hishaku. He surmises that if Hakuri can regain his ability to open the Storehouse, connect with the next Enchanted Blade bearer at the Senkutsuji Temple, and recover the stolen Enchanted Blades, Kamunabi will gain the upper hand.

On the other hand, Hirohiko is thrilled that he can truly battle against Chihiro without restraint. He is eager to witness the boy’s abilities, especially after hearing so much from his leader, Yura.

However, Hirohiko does not fight Chihiro alone; he revitalizes the fallen assassins using Datenseki. The chapter concludes with Chihiro poised to confront Hirohiko and the Anti-Enten Squad.

Kagurabachi chapter 50 will likely further delve into Chihiro’s battle against Hirohiko and the Anti-Enten Squad. While this challenge may be steep, Chihiro’s sharp understanding of the Enchanted Blade will enhance his strength in the fight. Moreover, readers have yet to see Hirohiko’s full capabilities.

The latest chapter confirmed that Hirohiko’s sorcery revolves around origami concepts. Given the versatility of origami, his powers will pose significant challenges for Chihiro. Additionally, Kagurabachi chapter 50 might explore how Uruha and Hakuri contend with the smaller assassins aboard the train.

Notably, there is still one sorcerer that appeared with Hirohiko in chapter 48 who has yet to reemerge. It’s highly probable he will face off against Uruha and Hakuri in the near future. Thus, it will be intriguing to see if Hakuri can finally utilize an Isou to shield the ex-Kumeyuri user.
