Kagurabachi chapter 50: Hakuri and Uruha Meet Samura and Discover His Connection to Chihiro
Kagurabachi chapter 50, titled “Interception,”begins with a flashback in which Chihiro recounts how the Enchanted Blades defended the country during the Seitei War 18 years ago. He expresses concern that chaos will ensue if the evildoers gain control of those blades by eliminating their former wielders.
Chihiro also reflects on his father, Kunishige Rokuhira’s insights, where he emphasized that the true heroes of the war were the ones he entrusted— the Enchanted Blade users, not himself. Consequently, Chihiro is determined to protect them.
The narrative then shifts back to the present, focusing on Uruha and Hakuri. Uruha believes that while Chihiro Rokuhira can unleash his full strength against Hirohiko, they must remain vigilant. Hakuri reassures Uruha that he will protect him should they encounter danger.
While Uruha appreciates Hakuri’s intentions, he insists they must hurry to the Senkutsuji Temple. The chapter subsequently depicts two Kamunabi sorcerers discussing Hishaku’s assault at the Kokugoku.
One sorcerer sketches a mandala on the ground, which teleports them to Hakuri and Uruha’s location. The ex-Kumeyuri identifies them as forces from Masumi and learns they are there to escort them to the Senkutsuji Temple, where Samura awaits.
The storyline transitions to the Senkutsuji Temple, where Samura, a former Enchanted Blade wielder, resides. A Masumi inquires if Hakuri plans to teleport the Enchanted Blade, to which he confirms. They express concern that the enemy may soon reach the temple.
Meanwhile, Samura extends a warm welcome to Hakuri and Uruha. He senses Chihiro’s presence around Hakuri and greets Uruha, whom he hasn’t seen in a long time.
Kagurabachi chapter 50 reveals that Samura and Chihiro are acquainted. A flashback recounts Kunishige’s son encountering Samura for the first time. On several occasions, Shiba took Chihiro into the world, concealing his identity as Rokuhira’s son.
During one marketplace visit, they encountered the blind wielder, Samura. It was then that Chihiro recognized that Samura’s blindness had enhanced his other senses to extraordinary levels, allowing him to detect Kunishige’s scent around Shiba.
Samura was relieved to learn Kunishige wasn’t alone, and Chihiro shared how his father spoke of Samura and other Enchanted Blade users as the real heroes of the Seitei War. However, the blind swordsman contended that the true hero was Kunishige Rokuhira, the creator of those blades.
Kagurabachi chapter 50: Samura Prepares to Confront Enemies Before Chihiro’s Arrival
The scene shifts back to the present, where Samura eagerly anticipates reuniting with Chihiro Rokuhira. Suddenly, a monk strikes a bowl, causing vibrations.
Samura alerts everyone of intruders. One of the Masumis takes Hakuri inside for recovery treatment, while Samura advises Uruha to rest. The Masumi informs Hakuri that they aim to expedite his healing process.
Meanwhile, the focus shifts to Chihiro, where Hirohiko questions his decision to allow the Enchanted Blade’s contract bearer to escape to the Senkutsuji Temple, suggesting the contract bearers may not survive without protection from an Enchanted Blade user.
Hakuri is determined to keep his promise to Chihiro to protect the contract bearers, but Uruha advises him to focus on regaining his strength first, believing Senkutsuji Temple is more secure than Kokugoku due to Samura’s presence. The ex-Kumeyuri laments not being as powerful as Samura, wishing he could have prevented the Kokugoku massacre.
Uruha understands that Chihiro has separated from them due to Samura’s formidable reputation. The chapter confirms that the defenses of Senkutsuji Temple are unwavering with Samura’s protection.
Uruha informs the blind swordsman that Chihiro will arrive at the temple with crucial information regarding Hishaku. Kagurabachi chapter 50 concludes with Samura preparing for battle, eagerly awaiting the reunion.
