Kagurabachi Chapter 50 Recap

The previous chapter opens with a flashback, where Chihiro emphasizes the crucial role of the Enchanted Blades in the Seitei war to Hakuri. He fears that if such weapons fall into the hands of malevolent forces, chaos will reign once more. Chihiro recalls his father’s words about the Enchanted Blade users being the true heroes of the war, prompting his vow to protect them.

Simultaneously, two sorcerers known as Masumi from Senkutsuji Temple teleport to Hakuri and Uruha using a drawn Mandala. They escort the duo to the temple, where Samura, an Enchanted Blade contract bearer, is waiting for them.

Samura recognizes Hakuri by his connection to Chihiro and greets Uruha, noting he hasn’t seen her in quite some time. The chapter reveals that Samura and Chihiro share history. A flashback illustrates an encounter in the marketplace where Chihiro met Samura while accompanied by Shiba.

During their discussion, Chihiro notes how Samura’s blindness enhances his other senses. Samura expresses relief that Kunishige Rokuhira isn’t alone. The chapter further reveals that Kunishige used to narrate stories about Samura and other Enchanted Blade users to Chihiro.

Meanwhile, a signal from a monk at the temple alerts Samura of the incoming threats. One of the Masumi leads Hakuri inside for healing, while the blind swordsman urges Uruha to rest.

Next, the focus shifts to Chihiro, who questions whether the Enten-user made the right decision to part ways with the contract holder. Back at Senkutsuji Temple, Hakuri wants to confront the enemies in order to fulfill his promise to Chihiro.

However, Uruha advises Hakuri to prioritize his recovery, believing that Senkutsuji’s defenses surpass those of Kokugoku, largely due to Samura’s presence. Uruha understands that Chihiro’s choice to let them go stems from his confidence in Samura’s skills as a swordsman.

Uruha informs Samura that Chihiro is expected at the temple with news regarding Hishaku. Concurrently, the Masumi conveys that it will take 30 minutes for Hakuri to regain his strength. The chapter concludes with Samura gearing up to confront the enemy in the meantime.

Considering how chapter 50 concluded, Kagurabachi chapter 51 is likely to highlight Samura in action, showcasing why Uruha perceives himself as lesser when compared to the blind swordsman regarding strength.

Additionally, chapter 51 may pivot back to Chihiro’s conflict with Hirohiko and the Datenseki users. The Enten-user will likely engage fully against the Hishaku sorcerer before heading to the Senkutsuji temple to reunite with his allies.
