Kagurabachi: Kyora’s Showdown Against Chihiro and Hiyuki (Chapter 41)

Kagurabachi chapter 41 was published in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #33 on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 12 am JST. The chapter showcased Kyora Sazanami’s fury as he displayed Shinuchi’s dominating powers against Chihiro Rokuhira and Hiyuki Kagari within the subspace. Meanwhile, he initiated the sword’s command to continue with the auction.

In Kagurabachi, it had been previously disclosed that the leader of Hishaku had dedicated three years to breaking the seals off the Shinuchi. Moreover, he had employed Kyora as a test subject to assess the strength of the blade, particularly with the original sword saint still in existence.

Kyora Sazanami appeared on the battlefield, brandishing the unsheathed Shinuchi as he emerged from the ground. Despite only possessing a small fraction of its powers, he put Chihiro in a difficult situation. However, the final moments of the chapter hinted at Hiyuki joining forces with Chihiro to confront Kyora.

The opening of Kagurabachi chapter 41, titled “Fervent,”showcases the audience at the Rakuzaichi auction being captivated by the intense battle between two powerful Enchanted Blades, Enten and Shunichi.

Armed with his blade, Kyora comes to the realization that either the sword or the skilled swordsman is attempting to take control of his mind. Despite being aware of the potential consequences of receiving such blessings, he remains steadfast in his refusal to surrender.

During the Rakuzaichi auction, Kyora Sazanami’s preview at the room stated that he would showcase a small portion of Shinuchi’s powers by defeating Chihiro Rokuhira, followed by the auction of Enten. In Kagurabachi chapter 41, the leader of the Sazanami clan is seen utilizing a technique known as “Spider.”

The spell, named Dragon Fly, springs from the sorcerer like a spider’s web, ensnaring Chihiro Rokuhira and limiting her movements. Just as it is about to strike her, Hiyuki Kagari appears and repels it.

The Kamunabi sorcerer taunts Chihiro as she lies on the brink of death. The Enten-user comes to the realization that Hakuri must have sent Hiyuki to the subspace. He informs her that their main priority should be rescuing the prisoners. However, in order to do so, they must first defeat the sorcerer and his Shinuchi.

Hiyuki informs the Enten-user that Hakuri has already disclosed all the details of the situation to her. She also shares that the white-haired sorcerer warned her that if she were to harm Chihiro, he would not allow her to leave Kyora’s space. The Kamunabi sorcerer is curious about what could have caused Hakuri to undergo such a drastic transformation in just one week.

The attention in Kagurabachi chapter 41 then turns to the Kamunabi sorcerers in the auction room, where they spot Hiyuki and Chihiro on the screen. Tafuku, accompanying them, discloses that Hiyuki is simply carrying out her duty to rescue Rokuhira. One of the sorcerers from the Shinuchi bidding team wishes for Hiyuki and Tafuku to encounter difficulties.

As Hiyuki continues to explore the subspace, she ponders how Kyora Sazanami could still be alive despite sustaining such fatal injuries. She believes it is likely the result of his Shinuchi abilities. Meanwhile, Chihiro becomes increasingly aware of the subspace’s instability with each passing moment.

Despite his advice for Hiyuki to act quickly, the Kamunabi sorcerer becomes anxious and reminds Chihiro that he would have perished if she had not arrived in time. Chihiro assures him that he still would have found a way to protect himself from Kyora’s anger.

However, according to the Kamunabi sorcerer, the Flame Bone’s explosive power is necessary in order to counter the Shinuchi’s spells. This is demonstrated in Kagurabachi chapter 41 when Chihiro Rokuhira astonishes Hiyuki by imbuing his left arm with the Flame Bone.

Chihiro informs Hiyuki that he has the ability to temporarily retain the power he absorbs through Aka. In their initial confrontation, he utilized Aka to absorb one of Hiyuki’s punches, resulting in him possessing a fraction of Flame Bone’s power ever since.

After that, Chihiro Rokuhira employs a Kuro imbued with the flames of the Flame Bone. Despite this, Kyora demonstrates his quick reflexes and manages to avoid the attack. Chihiro comes to the realization that Shinuchi’s powers have enhanced Kyora Sazanami’s physical abilities.

The Sazanami head then showcases a new technique, named Centipede, which envelops him in a centipede-like cloak and releases shockwaves that extend throughout the surrounding area. Despite only using a small portion of the blade’s full potential, the attack puts Chihiro and Hiyuki in a precarious situation.

As Kyora demonstrates Shinuchi at the auction, the audience revels in amazement. The preview for Kagurabachi chapter 41 follows, showing Kyora starting the bidding for Shinuchi with a staggering one billion.

The Sazanami head’s call incites the crowd, who eagerly compete to obtain the blade by any means necessary. The 41st chapter of Kagurabachi concludes with a panel in which Chihiro, Hiyuki, and Kyora express the significance of the Shinuchi to them.

Although Kyora believes it belongs to the Sazanami family, Hiyuki sees it as Kamunabi’s weapon. However, for Chihiro, it represents the ownership of the Rokuhira family.
