Based on the most recent Shoseki rankings for May 2, 2024, Kagurabachi manga has surpassed Boruto: Two Blue Vortex in sales with its second volume. It is worth noting that both manga series released their second volumes on the same day. The rankings show that Takeru Hokazono’s manga holds the second spot, while Kishimoto & Ikemoto’s manga holds the third spot.

Without a doubt, this is a significant milestone for Hokazono’s manga overall, especially with the already-established series Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Although these are only the rankings for the first day, it solidifies the immense popularity of Hokazono’s manga in Japan.

Top Manga Rankings for Kagurabachi and Boruto

Prior to starting, it is crucial to mention that Shoseki is an authorized website where the daily, weekly, and monthly rankings of Japanese manga sales are published.

Surprisingly, on May 2nd, the Shoseki rankings have shocked numerous animanga enthusiasts. As stated on the website, Takeru Hokazono’s manga has claimed the second spot on the rankings, while Masashi Kishimoto and Ikemoto’s Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has secured the third place.

Hokazono’s series is second only to World Trigger, which had its 27th volume released on May 2, 2024. In addition, Hokazono’s series has surpassed the sales of Akane Banshi’s 11th volume (ranked 6th), Nue’s Exorcist’s 4th volume (ranked 13th), and Undead Unluck’s 21st volume (ranked 14th). It is worth noting that all of these are popular manga series published by Shueisha.

As a result, Takeru Hokazono’s manga series has gained widespread attention, currently holding the second place spot. Despite its initial labeling as a “meme”series, Hokazono’s manga has made a significant impact on the landscape of Weekly Shonen Jump, solidifying its status as a true phenomenon.

“I know it’s just the first day but it’s really hilarious that Boruto get outsold by Kagurabachi which doesn’t have anime or big background,”a fan amusingly said.

In general, “Bachibros,”the devoted fans of Hokazono’s manga, are ecstatic to witness the success of their beloved series. It is yet to be determined if the manga will continue to maintain its high ranking in the coming days.
