Kagurabachi: The First Mission from Kamunabi as Hishaku Makes Their Move Against the Enchanted Blade Bearers – Chapter 46: Chihiro and Hakuri

Kagurabachi chapter 46 was released on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 12 am JST in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #39. In this chapter, Chihiro Rokuhira and Hakuri joined forces with the Kamunabi to protect the former Enchanted Blade holders from Hishaku’s attacks.

After the Rakuzaichi incident, Chihiro and Hakuri woke up the next day, feeling refreshed. Hiyuki then informed Chihiro that they needed to go to the Kamunabi headquarters.

During their discussion, Chihiro suggested attempting to recover the stolen Enchanted Blades from Hishaku by utilizing Hakuri’s Storehouse ability. However, this required obtaining approval from the Kamunabi higher-ups to meet with the former Enchanted Blade wielders.

Kagurabachi Chapter 46: Interrogation of Chihiro and Hakuri by the Kamunabi Higher-Ups

In chapter 46 of Kagurabachi, Chihiro Rokuhira is presented before the Kamunabi’s leaders while in handcuffs. A flashback reveals that Shiba informed Chihiro about the mixed opinions of the Kamunabi authorities regarding Rokuhira and the Enchanted Blades. However, they have temporarily joined forces to retrieve the stolen blades.

Shiba believes that there will inevitably be a heated argument about Chihiro and Enten. He assures the boy that if this happens, Azami will protect him. Due to the potential chaos, Shiba prefers to stay out of the situation and not show up with Chihiro. In Kagurabachi chapter 46, it is revealed that Shiba had previously defeated several Kamunabi members over Rokuhira.

As Chihiro is being interrogated by the Kamunabi higher-ups, the sorcerer with a large mustache confirms the boy’s decision to meet with the previous holders of the Enchanted Blades. Their plan is to outsmart the Hishaku and reclaim the powerful blades.

Although the proposal is reasonable, they are not willing to accept Chihiro due to several reasons. Firstly, there are multiple elite Kamunabi sorcerers stationed with each Sanzo, making it challenging for even an Enchanted Blade to break in. Additionally, they have limited knowledge about Chihiro.

The Kamunabi executive with sideburns inquires with a colleague about whether Chihiro’s blood sample has been collected to verify his connection to Kunishige Rokuhira. Due to the expected one-day wait for the results, the executives decide to postpone the meeting until the following day.

However, one of the members points out that they are unable to do so at the moment due to the temporary seal on the Shinuchi. In order to fully seal it, they must act quickly. This is why the Kamunabi is interested in understanding the effectiveness of Chihiro’s plan to stop the Hishaku.

As Hakuri plays a crucial role in the plan, they are eager to witness his abilities. However, Hiyuki discloses that at the moment, Hakuri is unable to utilize his Storehouse power. Kagurabachi chapter 46 reveals that prior to his arrival at the headquarters, the young Sazanami attempted to use his Storehouse ability but collapsed in the attempt.

Tafuku stated that Hakuri requires some rest before being able to showcase his ability once more. However, Hiyuki affirms the potential of the ability, having personally witnessed it. She mentions that while Hakuri possesses the key, the control ultimately belongs to Chihiro.

Therefore, the Kamunabi believe it is necessary to question Chihiro about the entire incident. In chapter 46 of the Kagurabachi narrative, the Kamunabi sorcerers inquire about the Cloud Gouger blade from Chihiro. He informs them that the blade has been destroyed, which they interpret as a negative sign.

Afterwards, they asked him if he knew anyone from the Kamunabi, as some of their members had played a key role in setting up Kunishige’s hideout in the mountains. However, Chihiro disclosed that he had been personally brought there by his father.

In chapter 46 of Kagurabachi, the focus turns to the Kamunabi sorcerer with sideburns, who continues to bombard Chihiro with questions. Despite this, Chihiro remains uninterested in discussing his identity and would rather be judged based on his actions.

Chihiro informs the Kamunabi leaders that he was successful in defeating Genichi Sojo, putting an end to the Rakuzaichi auction, and obtaining the Shinuchi blade. These accomplishments were in line with the Kamunabi’s initial objectives, and furthermore, his actions resulted in significant cost savings for the organization.

Hiyuki defends Chihiro, assuring the others that he only targets those who do wrong. Despite this, the sorcerer with sideburns from the Kamunabi clan refers to Chihiro as a rebellious troublemaker. He believes that eliminating Chihiro and handing over Enten to a member of the Kamunabi clan would be the most beneficial option for their group.

Kagurabachi Chapter 46: Hishaku’s Attack on the Sanzos Begins

The attention in Kagurabachi chapter 46 is redirected to a guest, who reveals that the Kokugoku fortress was taken over by a group of sorcerers who possessed Spirit Energy reactions similar to Enchanted Blades. These sorcerers successfully destroyed the fortress and defeated the top-ranking sorcerers.

The participant mentions that one of the individuals had a symbol engraved on the back of their hand that resembled flames. Chihiro remembers Sojo’s investigation into replicating Enchanted Blades and comes to the realization that the Hishaku likely possesses multiple Datensekis with similar markings.

Kagurabachi chapter 46 then turns its attention to Chihiro, who informs the Kamunabi that he has no plans to relinquish the Enchanted Blades after retrieving them. However, he is aware that a new member will not be able to wield Enten as skillfully as himself.

As a result, when the Kamunabi are in need of instant firepower, Chihiro is considered their top choice by several higher-ups due to his striking resemblance to Kunishige. The mustached sorcerer agrees with Chihiro’s assessment and decides to enlist his help for the time being, with the caveat that the boy will not have free reign over the Enchanted Blades.

At that instant, the attendee shows up with another report, disclosing that the Uruha, the Enchanted Blade user, managed to escape the attack and is currently fleeing.

The Kamunabi’s authority concludes Kagurabachi chapter 46 by assigning Chihiro and Hakuri with the urgent task of contacting the bearer and safeguarding their life.
