The cover illustration for volume 3 of Kagurabachi, featuring Chihiro Rokuhira, Hiyuki Kagari, and Kyora Sazanami, was revealed by the official X account for Takeru Hokazono’s manga (@Kagurabachi_X) on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Chihiro is observed brandishing his Enchanted Blade, Enten, which interestingly displays Hiyuki Kagari and Kyora Sazanami on both sides. In the Rakuzaichi arc, Kyora and Hiyuki play significant roles as they become Chihiro Rokuhira’s opponents at different points.

Significantly, the symbolism of the Kagurabachi volume 3 cover illustration lies within the inclusion of Hiyuki Kagari’s reflection on the right side, specifically the blunt side of the blade. This foreshadows the eventual truce between Chihiro and Hiyuki in the Rakuzaichi arc.

Similarly, the illustration of Enten shows the reflection of Kyora Sazanami on its right side, representing the sharpness of his character. This symbolizes Chihiro’s determination to defeat the leader of the Sazanami clan without hesitation. Takeru Hokazono’s skilled artwork subtly foreshadows the fate of these two pivotal characters in the arc.
