Kagurabachi Volume 4 Cover Features Chihiro Rokuhira and Hakuri Sazanami Joining Forces

On September 20, 2024, the official X account for Takeru Hokazono’s battle shonen manga (@Kagurabachi_X) unveiled the cover for Kagurabachi volume 4. The artwork showcases the protagonist, Chihiro Rokuhira, alongside Hakuri Sazanami, the deuteragonist in the Rakuzaichi arc.

In the illustration, Chihiro is showcased dual-wielding the Enten and Kuregumo (Cloud Gouger) Enchanted Blades, while Hakuri demonstrates his sorcery powers, with black Spirit Energy visibly emanating from his concealed left eye. Notably, the cover for volume 4 is significantly brighter in color compared to previous editions.

Takeru Hokazono typically uses a red and black palette for covers featuring Chihiro Rokuhira. The first volume prominently features red, while the second leans toward darker hues. The third volume combines black and white for a striking visual.

Conversely, volume 4 opts for a white color palette, reflecting a potential shift in Chihiro’s outlook, now brighter with Hakuri by his side.

Chihiro is no longer portrayed as a character consumed by darkness and revenge; instead, he exhibits greater clarity and purpose in his quest, a transformation symbolized by Hakuri’s illuminating influence, as represented on the cover.
