Kai Cenat Aims to Be the First Streamer in Space

Popular streamer Kai Cenat is setting his sights on a groundbreaking achievement: becoming the first content creator to broadcast live from space. Recently, he reached out to Elon Musk, hoping the SpaceX founder can assist him in making this ambitious dream a reality.

A Bold Proposal During Mafiathon 2

On November 9, during his ninth day of the Mafiathon 2 subathon on Twitch, Cenat engaged in a conversation with friends about the feasibility of a space trip. He passionately expressed, “You can! I think if you can talk to the right people, Elon or whoever it is, you can go to space. I want to be the first person to go to space and say ‘Yo chat!’”

Calculated Risks

Cenat is no stranger to the showbiz of streaming and the inherent dangers involved. He elaborated on the risks, saying, “I did research on it; they said there is a 3-5% chance of dying. But honestly, that’s a chance I am willing to take.” He emphasized his determination, stating, “I’m going to do one stream,” while acknowledging that he would need Musk’s support to fulfill this dream.

Public Appeal to Elon Musk

Shortly after the stream, Cenat took to his Twitter/X account to directly appeal for Musk’s help. He wrote, “Hey Elon, I would like to be the first streamer to stream & say ‘YO CHAT’ from space. I believe you are the only person that can help me achieve this goal, let’s make history.”

Anticipation and Engagement

This bold tweet quickly gained traction, amassing over 50,000 likes and more than a million views within just ten hours. It tagged both Elon Musk and SpaceX, increasing the chances of a response given Musk’s active presence on social media. However, as of now, there has been no comment from Musk, and Cenat has not shared any updates regarding a private message sent to him.

Cenat’s Streaming Legacy

This endeavor comes as Cenat attempts to reclaim the title for the most subscribers ever on Twitch. Currently, he is competing against V-Tuber Ironmouse, who holds the record at 326,252 subscribers (as of October 2024). Cenat’s previous high was 306,621 subscribers, and he is now over 290,000.

Pushing Creative Boundaries

Cenat’s ambition to stream from space is just one example of his innovative content approach. His Mafiathon stream featured an impressive promotional cinematic trailer with Kim Kardashian and commenced with a backyard concert headlined by Lil Uzi Vert. Additionally, the stream has welcomed various celebrities, including Snoop Dogg, Miranda Cosgrove, GloRilla, Kodak Black, and TikTok star NPC Miles Morales.

As Cenat continues to push the boundaries of live streaming, his vision of broadcasting from space represents the latest frontier in digital content creation, captivating audiences and sparking conversations around the future of streaming and innovation.
