Twitch celebrity Kai Cenat approached a passerby after they made a “racist”comment towards his friend, Ray. He followed them down the street and engaged in a heated confrontation, yelling at them in response.
In 2023, Kai Cenat met his friend Ray for the first time while in Japan, where he was streaming live. After their initial meeting, the two stayed in contact and Kai even traveled to Taiwan in May 2024 to attend Ray’s graduation.
It was evident to viewers that their friendship flourished during their live streams, and it is evident that Kai deeply appreciates his friend as they continue to regularly join forces and spend time together on stream.
During a live stream on June 16, 2024, Kai took it upon himself to openly confront a stranger who had made a racist comment towards Ray. It happened while Kai, Ray, and a group of friends were enjoying some late-night bites during a night out on the town and two white men walked by.
During the incident, one of the men was caught on camera making a remark comparing Ray’s appearance to that of RiceGum, an Asian YouTuber and former streamer.
Kai immediately objected to the remarks made by the strangers and confronted them, trailing after them down the street as he loudly demanded an explanation for their offensive comments.
“Kai shouted, “That’s discriminatory, bro!”He continued, “Bro, are you saying he resembles RiceGum, gang? You’re just going to keep walking like that’s acceptable? That’s incredibly offensive, bro.”
“Are you saying he resembles RiceGum? What the heck? You look like Adam Sandler! Peter Parker!”
The stranger raised his hands in a joking manner, stating that he didn’t want any attention from the media as he continued strolling down the street.

Kai and his friends ultimately concluded that they were done with the situation and ceased their pursuit. However, the online community is applauding the streamer for standing up for his friend.

This is another viral moment that has emerged from Kai Cenat’s streams, as he recently stood up for himself when viewers criticized him for attending North West’s birthday party and called him “weird.”
