Kai Cenat Faces Possible Twitch Ban Following Controversial Valkyrae Prank Backlash

Kai Cenat is facing significant criticism after prompting his audience to flood the Twitch chat of Valkyrae with the phrase, “Valkyrae got leaked.” This interaction occurred during a Twitch stream where Cenat was reacting to various content creators.

Valkyrae, a prominent figure in the gaming community who made her return to Twitch in January after a five-year tenure on YouTube, continues to engage her fanbase with her regular streams, often drawing tens of thousands of viewers.

During a stream on January 11, Cenat switched to Valkyrae’s channel and urged his viewers to spam her chat. “Tell her she got leaked. Say ‘Valk got leaked.’ Say ‘Valkyrae got leaked’ in her chat,” he instructed. However, many of his followers expressed their reluctance to follow his request, with some confused by it.

Responding to the pushback, Cenat reacted with disbelief, stating, “No? Oh my god, y’all are p**sy’s. Are y’all deada*s?” He then shifted his attention to another streamer.

Backlash Against Kai Cenat’s Chat Raid Attempt

Shortly after, a clip of Kai’s request began circulating on social media, igniting a wave of backlash. One viral post highlighted the incident, stating, “Kai Cenat told his chat to spam ‘Valkyrae got leaked’ in her chat, but they said no, because she’s too wholesome.”

Many users shared their perspectives, with some directly criticizing Cenat’s request. One commenter noted, “That’s weird asf,” while another observed, “I think I’ve literally never seen anything from Kai Cenat that was like normal. Is this all he does?” A particularly pointed reply called him out as being “just as bad as other toxic streamers lmao,” suggesting that his content rarely contributes positively to the community.

Valkyrae’s Positive Reaction

In contrast, Valkyrae appeared to take the situation in stride. In a post on X, she revealed her intent to prank Cenat back, humorously stating, “I was trying to think of a reverse prank to get Kai Cenat back, but after seeing the clip, I already won the prank war lol.” Moreover, during a stream, she mentioned that she was “shocked” by the respectful response from Kai’s viewers and expressed her happiness over it.

The Implications of Cenat’s Actions

While Cenat’s intentions may not have been malicious, his actions could attract consequences from Twitch. According to Twitch’s Community Guidelines, streamers are prohibited from encouraging their audiences to engage in harmful behavior directed at others.

These guidelines emphasize that inciting viewers to target others, regardless of location, falls under harassment. In a similar incident in 2022, streamer JiDion received a permanent ban after his followers flooded Pokimane’s chat with derogatory remarks. Eventually, JiDion was reinstated on the platform in May 2024, nearly two years after the incident.
