Kai Cenat Policed During Live Stream at Walmart

Kai Cenat had the police called on him by a stranger while live streaming in Walmart with fellow AMP member Chrisnxtdoor.

During their IRL stream on September 16, 2024, Kai Cenat and Chrisnxtdoor decided to venture out for a late-night Walmart trip to grab some snacks.

The Twitch streamers engaged with fans throughout their shopping experience, but their fun was interrupted when a man dressed in casual attire approached them and demanded they stop filming.

Kai and Chris tried to comply and began walking towards the checkout, but their frustration escalated when the man snatched the camera used for their stream. Once they reached the self-checkout, police arrived at the scene.

“We came to shop at Walmart. They asked us to leave, and we agreed. Then he grabbed my camera like it was his, and we were just checking out,” Kai explained to the officer.

“I’m not pulling any pranks, I’m just filming my grocery shopping. He told me not to film, so I’m leaving,” he added.

Kai continued to engage with the officer while Chris finished paying for a family’s grocery items, exchanging information during the interaction.

More police officers arrived as the conversation progressed but assured Kai and Chris that they were not in any trouble.

The first officer spoke with the stranger for a few minutes before returning to Kai and Chris to conclude the investigation.

“You have a bright light on the camera; you need to be considerate of others. I discussed the situation with the man who grabbed your camera and advised you to be careful during events like this,” the officer said. “I apologize for the earlier conflict; he made it sound like you were in a fight.”

This may be one of the most notable trips for Kai to Walmart, but it isn’t his first IRL streaming experience this September. On September 11, he went live on Instagram at the VMAs alongside the legendary rapper Snoop Dogg.
