Kai Cenat’s 100-Hour Marathon Run Ends with Victory over Elden Ring DLC

Kai Cenat has once again achieved an impressive feat. The highly renowned streamer and avid FromSoftware fan has successfully completed the challenging Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in Elden Ring, as he had promised. After a grueling multi-day battle with the final boss, he finally emerged victorious at the 99-hour mark.

Throughout May 2024, Kai Cenat’s Elden Ring marathon stream dominated social media, essentially bringing the internet to a halt. With hundreds of thousands of viewers eagerly watching, the streamer explored The Lands Between for the first time and refused to end the broadcast until the credits rolled.

In total, the tremendous feat required 166 hours of hard work, and it not only mesmerized Kai Cenat but also his devoted fan base. As a result, he committed to continuously streaming every other FromSoft game in the future. Meanwhile, others attempted to emulate his achievement but were unsuccessful.

Despite having a number of future streaming events lined up, one that stood out was the launch of Shadow of the Erdtree, the first and only expansion for Elden Ring. The AMP member has been dominating the game’s category on Twitch since its release and after an additional 99 hours of hard work, he has finally achieved the top spot.

After nearly 100 hours of gameplay, Kai Cenat finally defeated the ultimate boss, Promised Consort Radahn, in Shadow of the Erdtree. He then went on to conquer Radahn, Consort of Miquella. Although there may still be other hidden challenges and optional tasks to discover, Kai has completed the main storyline and did so in 67 hours less than the base game.

Despite originally planned, the ultimate challenge that acted as the main obstacle at the end of the marathon was the final boss. Despite reaching this concluding battle at around 50 hours, it took nearly twice as long to successfully defeat it.

Despite spending a significant amount of time repeatedly running into a brick wall, Kai Cenat also wisely took breaks to venture out and gather more upgrades for his build. He even sought the help of a therapist for mental support. However, despite the added stat boosts, obtaining all the crucial Scadutree Fragments, and receiving therapy, it still took multiple days for Kai to successfully execute the final fight.

The second marathon of FromSoft’s open-world epic garnered an enormous amount of watch time, with an average viewership of nearly 100,000 throughout the entire event. The epic finale on June 25 also saw a massive influx of over 200,000 viewers.

“Despite the challenges, we persevered. We achieved that amazing feat,”Kai exclaimed proudly after the momentous occasion. His friends joined him in the room, belting out Queen’s “We Are the Champions”and lifting him up in celebration as if he had won a global competition.
