Kalei’s eyes welled up with tears during her Twitch stream after she was removed from FaZe Clan.
On April 28, FaZe Clan revealed that they had removed most of their members, including well-established ones like Rain, Blaze, and Cizzorz. FaZe Banks disclosed that the organization now only consists of 14 members due to the “reboot.”
Kalei, a well-known Warzone streamer, revealed that she had known about the mass removal of FaZe members a year prior. However, she was assured by “everyone”that she would be one of the few remaining members.
Despite this, she was ultimately removed from the team, as she confirmed during a Twitch livestream following the announcement: “I was kicked out, even though I am one of the top Warzone streamers and can bring in millions of impressions every week. I had so much love and dedication for the team, despite not being paid to be a part of it.”
Kalei voiced her grievances, stating that she did not receive any payment from them and was ultimately left with a negative outcome.
She stated, “They handled it as if we were completely ignorant. The manner in which it was dealt with was unjustifiable and no one should have been subjected to that.”
Several hours later, Kalei shared on Twitter/X: “I am extremely thankful for all the opportunities that have come my way. I will always remember the moment I received the call and was invited to join FaZe. I am grateful for the friendships I have made and the support from my community. I want to express my appreciation and wish them all the best. Here’s to a fresh start.”
Faze Banks has issued a lengthy response in which he stated, “Today was a rough day. I want to clarify that the reason for your departure was due to the circumstances of your recruitment. Unfortunately, it was during a dark period for FaZe and we need to start fresh.”This was in response to a previous Tweet from Banks, which can be found here.
Despite the claims that she was not paid during her time as a member of FaZe Clan, the CEO of the organization did not address the issue. However, he concluded by commending the former FaZe member who joined in 2022 and issued an apology saying, “Your heartfelt words about FaZe and your passion for it, along with your emotional response, touched me deeply. Please know that we have nothing but love for you here as well.”
