Kanye West’s Epic Performance at NewJeans and CL Concert

The ‘Ye x Ty Dolla Sign Vultures Listening Experience’ was held by Kanye West (YE) on August 23 at 8 PM at the Goyang Sports Complex. This was his first appearance in Korea since the ‘Summer Week&Ti’ hip-hop festival at Naksan Beach in 2010, which garnered a lot of interest.

During an event originally intended as a listening party, Kanye West surprised both Korean fans and global audiences by taking the mic and delivering a consecutive performance of 76 songs that lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes. This was his first live show since July 2022.

During the concert, Kanye West enthusiastically interacted with his fans, continuously exclaiming “I love you, Korea,”and in return, the audience eagerly participated in singing along, resulting in a vibrant atmosphere.

Several K-pop stars in attendance also demonstrated their support, including Minji, Hanni, and Danielle from NewJeans. However, due to age restrictions, Haerin and Hyein, who are both minors, were unable to attend. Other notable attendees included CL, a former member of 2NE1, Gong Min-ji, singer Jeon So-mi, Lil Boi, Big Natti, Zion.T, and Paloalto.

Following the show, Jeon So-mi and Lil Boi uploaded videos on their social media accounts, showcasing their dynamic dance moves to the music. Meanwhile, Paloalto enthusiastically shared his thoughts, exclaiming, “Today was absolutely incredible! Those who were unable to attend should read the reviews and feel remorseful.”

Despite his ongoing controversies, Kanye West continues to gain global recognition for both his musical talent and his successful clothing brand, Yeezy. However, recent reports of his alleged involvement in the adult film industry have only added to the controversy surrounding him.
