In light of this scandal, a video of KARD’s BM from DIVE Studios’ GET REAL podcast has resurfaced, gaining substantial attention. The hosts included BM, BTOB’s Peniel, and LADIES’ CODE’s Ashley Choi.

This video, originating from Episode 16 titled “GIRL TALK with Joan Kim” , aired in 2020. During this episode, the hosts discussed the rapid evolution of the Korean entertainment industry.

Peniel highlighted the unrealistic expectations placed on idols, stating, “They have to be like goody two shoes, they have to be perfect… it’s like no one’s perfect.” BM followed up with a candid warning, reminding listeners that their favorite idols might not be as they appear. He bluntly said, “Some of you will be surprised. Your favorite stan, bias may not be who you think they are. Not trying to crush your dreams but just being real…”

In response to Taeil’s recent controversy, the video went viral again, garnering over 407,000 views on Instagram. Many netizens praised BM for his honesty, noting that his warning from years ago is now even more pertinent.

BM himself recognized the renewed interest in the video and shared a humble comment, reminding fans that idols are not infallible. He stated, “I’m also not perfect… although I will try to be a better human being, I have my days I lose it like the rest of everyone else. None of us ‘idols’ or ‘celebs’ are any better than anyone because we dance, sing, or rap in front of a camera just sayin. I have a lot to work on too.”

The original poster liked and pinned BM’s thoughtful comment, reinforcing his message.
