Ke Huy Quan is taking the lead in an exciting new action film titled Love Hurts. The renowned Hollywood figure recently hinted at a special surprise for fans of the classic film The Goonies, along with his potential return to a revival of that beloved franchise.

Love Hurts marks the directorial debut of Jonathan Eusebio, a seasoned stunt performer and fight choreographer known for his work on the John Wick series. When queried about potential Easter eggs referencing The Goonies, Quan shared his heartfelt sentiments, stating, “It was just nice to be able to share the screen with him [Astin] again after 40 years.” He vividly recalled the emotional experience, citing that it was memorable to have Cohen on set that day, which brought back nostalgic memories of their time together as young stars.

“The emotion I conveyed in that scene with Sean was genuine and rooted in my personal affection for that film, ” Quan added.“This moment is our little treat for fans of The Goonies.”

Expressing enthusiasm for a potential revival of The Goonies, Quan stated, “Yes, absolutely! You know, it’s a movie that’s been in the making for 40 years. Every few years or so, there’s a new rumor.”He acknowledged the film’s lasting impact on fans across generations.

Quan expressed his hope that if a revival does materialize, it must be executed with care and respect.“If we’re going to do it, we have to do it right. But yes, I would be the first one there, ” he affirmed.
