Food critic Keith Lee frequently goes viral for his engaging restaurant reviews suggested by fans, but in September, he took the opportunity to share something particularly special with his inquisitive audience.
In a recent TikTok video, Lee disclosed the three foods he can’t live without. “One of the most common questions I receive is what I eat when I’m not on a food tour,” Lee mentioned.
“And in my hand are the three items I can’t live without,” he continued.
While numerous items captivated fans, one item distinctly stole the spotlight: Lee’s favorite bakery treat – a chocolate-filled croissant. This delicious croissant boasts a flaky, buttery texture and is filled with two rich chocolate bars. While it can be heated before consumption, the food critic devoured it straight from the package.
“I consume a lot of these, like, a whole lot,” Lee shared.

Another essential food for Lee is a ginger shot, known for its anti-inflammatory properties, ability to reduce nausea, and support for digestion. “I drink one of these almost every day,” he explained.
Lastly, Lee highlighted that he wouldn’t be able to live without truffle fries. He specifically enjoyed parmesan-coated fries from Salt & Spoon in Las Vegas, NV, yet these tasty fries are a popular choice at many restaurants globally. Truffle fries are even a key component of TikTok’s trending ‘girl dinner,’ which typically includes fries, a drink, and a Caesar salad.
After hearing Lee’s favorite food items, viewers expressed excitement, as most of the recommended products are easily available at supermarkets, allowing them to try his top picks.
“Ok, but I need those chocolate croissants now,” commented one viewer.
“I need these,” another added.
Though Lee’s food reviews are primarily positive, often culminating in generous tips and long lines, he recently gained attention for sharing his experience at the DMV in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area.
Despite having a multitude of reviews to share, Lee chose to refrain from posting food content during that time, believing that his insights wouldn’t be “constructive” for the viewers or the restaurant owners.
