Kenjaku’s Ongoing Plans Could Be Leading to Jujutsu Kaisen Part 2

The rumored spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 270 have disclosed several details, while also suggesting the potential for a sequel series. After chapter 269, many fans speculated about the return of Kenjaku as Yuta, but these theories were neither addressed nor elaborated upon in the chapter 270 spoilers. Kenjaku remains one of the most captivating characters in the series, second only to Gojo and Sukuna.

However, his relatively abrupt end at the hands of Yuta has left numerous unanswered questions. As an ancient sorcerer who meticulously devised a plan over thousands of years, the lack of its execution has prompted fans to question whether his merger plan was ultimately a failure.

While the merger might not have succeeded, Kenjaku’s discussions with international government entities may have been part of his actual strategy, potentially leading to the globalization of cursed energy.

Kenjaku’s overarching scheme and its eventual repercussions remain a significant enigma in the series, continuing in chapter 270. He described his grand design as the creation of a brand new entity formed from the merger of every person in Japan with Tengen. His efforts towards this aim have spanned over a millennium, during which he has inhabited various bodies, even leading to the birth of Yuji to indirectly facilitate Sukuna’s revival and demise.

Although Megumi currently holds the power to initiate the merger, the Culling Games are still ongoing, and the separate colonies remain in existence. Consequently, any barriers surrounding these colonies would be compromised.

Kenjaku must have anticipated this scenario, yet he decided to include Angel as one of the players in the Culling Games. Given his cunning nature, it’s likely that Kenjaku expected Angel to resist his objectives. However, he may have included her, recognizing that her involvement could yield an unexpected outcome.

The alleged spoilers for chapter 270 indicated that Tengen had essentially vanished, his remains intertwined with Sukuna’s, thereby maintaining the curse energy-optimizing barriers. If these barriers collapse, it could result in the overflow of accumulated cursed energy and spirits into the outside world.

The international governments are already aware of cursed energy as a formidable power source, suggesting that the main characters might allow this leak to occur to avoid the hunting and discrimination of Japanese sorcerers by the global community.

While an influx of cursed energy doesn’t guarantee a significant increase in sorcerers, it would likely lead to a rise in cursed spirits. This scenario raises the possibility that the anticipated sequel of Jujutsu Kaisen could follow the main characters as they transition into teaching roles, expanding Jujutsu High beyond Japan and training a new generation of sorcerers to address the burgeoning population of cursed spirits.

Although no official announcement regarding a sequel has been confirmed, the narrative threads involving the ongoing Culling Games and the potential collapse of Tengen’s barriers are still in development.

Tengen might have foreseen this impending collapse and utilized Mei Mei to dispose of the malicious head of the New Shadow Style, positioning Kusakabe as the only sorcerer comparable to the former clan leaders. These maneuvers may have been Tengen’s strategic preparations for the expansion of cursed energy, ensuring it remains under the supervision of capable sorcerers.

Chapter 270’s alleged spoilers failed to confirm Gojo’s return or discuss his fate. The notable absence of any closure regarding Gojo, along with the omission of his name, could suggest that Gege is methodically building up to his return in the climactic chapter.

Final Thoughts

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is set to conclude on September 29, 2024, with the release of chapter 271. As of now, no announcements regarding a season 2, spin-off, or prequel have been disclosed.
