Ilgan Sports was informed by Wake One · Swing Entertainment on April 25th that discussions are ongoing between each member and their respective agencies regarding the extension of Kep1er’s project activities. The agency also confirmed that Kep1er is currently working on a new album.
Previously, it was reported by a media outlet that the girl group Kep1er would disband by the end of July if their contracts were not renewed. However, the agency has since released a statement stating that negotiations are still ongoing, shifting the attention to their potential future activities.
Kep1er was created as a result of Mnet’s “Girls Planet 999″audition program, with the aim of debuting a multinational girl group consisting of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese members. The group is composed of 9 talented individuals: Kim Chae-hyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu-jin, Kim Da-yeon, Seo Young-eun, Kang Ye-seo, Hikaru Ezaki, Mashiro Sakamoto, and Shen Xiaoting.
“Furthermore, Kep1er is scheduled to debut their initial Japanese full-length album “Kep1going”on May 8th.”
