The latest trailer has also teased the involvement of key figures, including Kyoraku Shunsui and Mayuri Kurotsuchi.
However, it’s regrettable that Bleach: TYBW Part 3 will not highlight certain beloved characters, such as Rukia and Byakuya Kuchiki. This sets the stage for five characters to take center stage in this segment, while five others may see their screen time significantly reduced during the Thousand-Year Blood War arc.

1. Mayuri Kurotsuchi

Five Characters Expected to Have Minimal Roles in Bleach: TYBW Part 3
1. Fon variety
Soi Fon, a highly regarded character, faced high expectations as a Captain of the Gotei 13 during this final arc against Yhwach. Unfortunately, her contributions are drastically reduced in the manga, with little involvement in the climactic battles.
In fact, it appears that Bleach: TYBW Part 3 will not provide her with any new opportunities to shine, which is disheartening given her previous skirmish with BG9 was filled with potential. There are fan theories about her possibly assisting Yoruichi in Askin’s battle, which could add a fascinating twist to her narrative.
2. Rukia Kuchiki
Rukia Kuchiki stands out as a prime example of a character whose presence could be greatly improved in this arc. Despite being a central figure, Rukia finds herself sidelined during critical moments of the story, particularly concerning the climactic confrontation with Yhwach.
Disappointingly, it appears that Bleach: TYBW Part 3 will not provide her with any notable scenes, which undermines her character’s potential. While her confrontation with As Nodt, showcasing her Bankai, remains a significant moment, it’s a shame that her arc lacks further development.
There remains a slim chance for her to play a more active role against Gerald Valkyrie, raising questions about Tite Kubo’s decisions surrounding her involvement in the final showdown.
3. Renji Abarai
Renji’s fate mirrors that of Rukia’s, as both characters find themselves relegated to the sidelines. Beyond aiding Ichigo towards the final battle, Renji’s narrative contribution is minimal during this arc.
His victory over Mask de Masculine offered a much-needed boost to his character, particularly after enhancing his Bankai, yet he remains largely absent in significant action for the rest of the arc, leaving fans disheartened.
4. Byakuya Kuchiki
The implications of Byakuya’s earlier ‘death’ in his battle against As Nodt stirred plenty of debate among fans. Remaining largely inactive and failing to engage substantially with Gerald Valkyrie, his contributions seem minimal.
With little indication that Byakuya will take a more active role in Bleach: TYBW Part 3, his narrative significance appears diminished, much to the dismay of his supporters.
5. Shinji Hirako
Shinji Hirako’s treatment throughout the series has often been criticized, as he is introduced with promise but relegated to a minor role during critical moments. Although his Bankai was a welcome addition in the second part, it seems that his presence will still be limited in Bleach: TYBW Part 3.
Similar to Soi Fon, numerous pivotal characters overshadow Shinji’s potential contributions. His status as a Vizard presents opportunities for exploration, yet the narrative doesn’t clarify why his Hollow mask remains unused.
