The iconic Colonel Sanders from KFC is getting a video game transformation as a gun-wielding, fried chicken-slinging warrior, complete with a mecha form for added flair.
If you’ve ever tasted the golden fried chicken from KFC, you’ve encountered the recognizable Colonel Sanders. Known for his classic white hair and signature mustache, Colonel Sanders has become a staple figure in popular culture.
This includes the realm of video games, where Colonel Sanders has made appearances in various titles, including his own anime dating sim filled with genre clichés.
Now, however, he is trading romantic pursuits for explosive action as he joins the cast of the upcoming action-adventure game Funko Fusion.
In this title, the Colonel takes on a charming Funko Pop design, showcasing his iconic white tuxedo and mustache. As a character in an action-adventure game, he is far from defenseless; he wields a bucket of KFC as a minigun, launching pieces of delicious fried chicken at foes.
You can access the Colonel right away without needing any points. However, to unlock the Mecha Colonel outfit, you will need to collect 250 KFC reward points. For every dollar spent at KFC, you earn 10 points, meaning the outfit will set you back $25 in real-world purchases. Though it may seem pricey, the offer comes with plenty of tasty food as a bonus.
This promotional offer is currently available only in the United States, so users from other regions might encounter difficulties redeeming it.
