Kick Co-Founder Refutes Rumors of $5M Contract with Hawk Tuah Girl

Ed Craven, co-founder of Kick, has responded to the circulating rumors regarding a purported $5 million contract with the ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl, Hailey Welch.

Craven has decisively refuted the viral claims suggesting that Kick has made arrangements with the controversial comedian Charleston White and the ‘Hawk Tuah’ figure, Hailey Welch.

A post shared on October 11 by Twitter user TheKickJoker alleged that Kick extended a $2 million offer to Charleston, who faced arrest in 2023 on animal cruelty charges, and again on October 10 for aggravated assault involving a deadly weapon.

The user commented, “We are entering a phase of partnering with convicts and felons. I hope the sources are mistaken. First, there was the guy in the boat, and now this?”

In a swift response, Ed dismissed the rumor, stating: “Kick hasn’t organized new deals recently, as we’ve transitioned to the KCIP model. This initiative allows qualified individuals to apply, with those having larger audiences sometimes being prioritized.”

He elaborated: “Anything else you’ve come across is mostly sensationalized content, clickbait, or independent claims from third parties. I’ve noted this transition earlier, and it has proven to be highly successful.

“Kick is excelling across nearly every performance metric, but our priority remains on cultivating a healthier and more robust community of driven individuals, ensuring they are rewarded appropriately.”

Shortly after his response, another user claimed that Ed was signing Hailey Welch for a staggering $5 million, asserting that she would contribute “nothing” to the platform.

However, the co-founder quickly dismissed this assertion, asserting: “This is not true.”

The rumor originated on October 11 when the Twitter account KickStreamsLive, boasting over 128.5K followers, claimed that Hailey had indeed signed a $5 million deal with the platform. Despite the lack of credible sources, many took this claim at face value.

This conjecture follows the social media influencer’s debut on Kick on October 5, during her live-streamed ‘Meet and Greet’ at Dreamhack Atlanta.
